I live in the country and I could live fine where you are too. Nothing like peace and quite, (although that doesn't happen enough here). It looks so peaceful out your windows. We took a trip 2 years ago to the Smoky Mountains, enjoyed it so much, did nature hikes. We lived in Germany for about a year and a half so mountains reminded me of there. My sister lives in the mountains of Missouri and when we go there I relax so much. She has nice veiws like you. You can look out the downstairs windows and see across to other mountain tops. I wish you and your family peace and contentment, love and laughter and the best of health in your new home. Looking forward to more photos, Hugs and God bless You -Toogie
Thank you. It is peaceful and I counted 10 mailboxes so there are neighbors around and have met one and was told our next door neighbor is a police dispatcher.
Beautiful home. We moved in 2006 into a 3700 square ft home we had built. It is a lot of work. Pace yourself so you can enjoy it when you get there. Congratulations, your views are gorgeous.
What a beautiful house! I wish you all the luck and love a house can contain! Hugs and *'s Deb
Wow it is a beautiful home. Hope you are very happy there. Hugs Louise
What a view inside and out. Such a beautiful place to live.
Beautiful... I love the NC mountains! That house is 4X the size of mine. LOL... I will say though, you can buy glass doors for the shelving, but then which is worse? Dusting or washing windows?(glass doors.) hehehe... Lovely home, looking forward to seeing what you will do with all the space.
Thank you. Our windows now are up high and I use Jet Dry in a garden hose sprayer and they get really clean. I'd rather play in water than dust.
Your new home looks beautiful and it has lovely views!!
this is a beautiful home... may
your lives here be wonderful and full..
wow, it looks lovely hope you will have a real happy time in the new home.Congratulations!
I love the shelves and windows by fireplace, that is so nice. Beautiful view.
Looks lovely - sure that you will love it. Congratulations and many happy days !
Congratulation an your new house beautiful place .ENJOY
Looks like a very nice house !!! It might be dirty (isn't this always the case when you move into an appartement or house ? When we bought our house I've been cleaning the kitchen whole day, I almost cried) But you will see within few weeks everything is so nice, you never want to move again.
Thank you. My DH and I work so well together cleaning and will will get it done in a couple long afternoons. Our daughter will bring us dinner and help as best she can after she gets off work so we can work through the evening. She still has limitations from foot surgery but can help in other ways.
A wonderful place! You will enjoy it!! The Blue Ridge Parkway has some of the most breath taking scenery on earth! You live in paridise!! So happy for you!
Angel
Thank you. Yes, we get on the Parkway often and in some places can see for 80 miles.
Congratulations on your new house, Love it! Hugs, Lidia
Wow! Everything looks great! Cong4ratulations on your new home! Live Laugh Download Stitch!
Anita, it is just beautiful. It looks like a lovely place for a Cutie convention! How about June? I love the setting. It really is a dream house! Where will you be sewing? Jan
Thank you. Probably sew in the exact flip side bedroom from our daughters. Our son is at college and only comes home for a day or two each month. Disadvantage of living here is all three airports are at least 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours drive but a cutie get together would be fun.
Disadvantage of living here is all three airports are at least 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours drive but a cutie get together would be fun. Not as big as it looks it's just empty.
I would think I had died and gone to heaven!
Absolutely gorgeous home and I sure could fill all those shelves, I have always wanted built-ins like that for my books. I could even climb the stairs now.
Whereabouts is your home?
Are there any neighbours close to?
Would love to see more photos, the kitchen, dining, outside of house.
Houses simply fascinate me.
Congratulations on such a wonderful find!
hugs and many blessings, Meganne
Will have more photos. The kitchen was under repair with ladder and light fixture hanging down. The cans of floor sealer waiting to be put floor vac so just a mess. Was loosing daylight and it had rained so not good lighting for photo taking.
Blue Ridge Mountains (BRM) in North Carolina, USA Called BRM because of the blue hue the evergreens casts in the sky. A few neighbors and saw a horse on the way up to the house. Only been there twice and will get the keys on Tuesday.
Will someone invent a appliance that you can plug in ,turn on,shut the doors & windows ,& come back a few hours later to find that everything is dust free.
There are vacuum cleaners & lawn mowers that do their work without us pushing them around.
That would be the futuristic pretend house in the movies. Everyone would love to have a self service house.
Lovely house but how will you keep the cold from coming through the glass windows ?
I could fill those shelves easily-books ,dvds etc & still need more room.
Stairs keep you fit.
The windows are double paned with air/gas between the layers and spray insulation to fill gaps.
Dear Anita, wow, those views will be wonderful when the trees have leaves. I keep forgetting it's winter over your way. Everything here is green at the moment! Beautiful home, love the stairwell and the loft/attic area. Beautiful polished floorboards too. Hope you settle in really quickly. Love Chris
Going to try to get everything settled by the time two weeks are up after the move. Can't stand the clutter and not being able to get to stuff. Stopped packing for the night and still have one load of laundry to fold. I'm not tired just a sore arm. Will watch the forest burst with blooms from this side of the county. The foliage is definitely going to show different.

Anita, thank you sor sharing your new home - what a beauty - I would love it - except for the stairs - but then - it might be good for me, too. Hehehe! I can't wait to see what you do with it. Those shelves would be a dream for me.
There is so much dust right now since the doors were not shut from the sanding of the floors. Don't need to sign up for step aerobics. lol We do have steps now so I'm used to them.
Wow-wow-wow, what a lovely home- can just imagine myself sitting in your bathtub, with a glass of bubbly, gazing out at that amazing view- sighssss- BANG- back to reality i fall!!!, lol, seriously, you have a beautiful home :)
Hugs
Marie
Oh what a lovely home! Those shelves are wonderful. So much you can do with them. Enjoy your new home to the fullest. Hugs, Mary
Thank you. We went yesterday and took measurements to have an idea of how to set it up. It has sloped walls in the upstairs so measured those also.
OMG, OMG, I want that house! Well, except for all the steps! In this stage of health I can't deal with them but oh how I could fill those shelves! You are living in my dream house! Congrats! Enjoy!
Thank you. There is a complete in-law suite downstairs we have to clean before a picture can be shown. You can move in there. It has it's own outside door and will try to rent to a quiet college student. Comes complete with washer/dryer, dishwasher, ref., bathroom and views.
cut off again. Bathroom and views. It would be about 7 miles to the campus or less if you park and ride the bus.
That would be even better, I'd use the in-law suite as the master bedroom and never have to go upstairs if I didn't want to, lol!
Your new home looks lovely. The view outside is stunning
Thank you. We are in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northwestern North Carolina. The views are about 30 miles away.
