I bought an external floppy drive just for that reason - my D1 was an oldie too, I never had it changed for usb-stick use. Fortunately I too have a Ruby. Do you ever use the extension cord to load designs to the Ruby? I only use the usb-stick.
I didn´t need an external floppy drive because my PC have a floppy drive and an USB - No I have never used the extension cord, I only use the USB stick - yes I hope it too, but the repair man said that he had to get this rubber rings from Sweden, so I gess I have to wait for a few days.- Is your Ruby okay, no knocking?
no floppy, but do you have an USB stick ? Then you can transfer the data from one pc to the other's harddisk and so to the floppy ? or vise versa ?
Yes I have an USB stick in my laptop but not in my Designer1 sewing machine, it is just for floppy, very old machine hehehehe, my Ruby have an USB stick, I just have to wait until I get them both.
Hope you will get them back quickly! Don't despair, in the meantime you have more time to write and to read every post in Cute! :) ... and give flowers too!
Hugs, Lidia

I will cross my fingers, too - wishing you luck with getting your machines back quickly.
Ag thats not good. What went wrong with Ruby?
It describes like that, when I had sewing ca.8000 stitches then it began to hear knocking in the Ruby and get more and more knocking as I sewn more stitches, repair man said it would need to replace any new rubber rings, comme on a new machine, yes he said, so I just hope he will be quick to fix my Ruby.
And for the computer, I don´t know the electricity went of and the computer wouldn´t start again.
yes he said, so I just hope he will be quick to fix my Ruby.
