I love these! They kinda remind me of my Late Granny! This is just one of the things she used to do by hand! She taught her daughters and her grand-daughters how to cook and how to sew. She was a very tiny in statue but had the most talent and the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known! All 3 of her sons were over 6' and both of her daughters were tall and thin. "Ms Ollie" as everyone called her including her grands, could not have been 5' and most likely would have worn about a size 8 or 10 up until she finally left us. She sure could make her rough and roudy son's stand at attention with just a glance! My Dad was the oldest but when he was around his Mom, he was still 5 yrs old! After I got married, I learned how to cook over the phone with her! She could sew anything she saw, to fit any size, without a pattern! This brings back old times!
I'm glad this brought you good memories! Thanking fo sharing them! Hugs and blessings. *
Beautiful Nini, I love cross-stitch and have done a lot of it. Love Chris
It turned out very nice. I still haven't tried any of them.
it is good to see some of Miss Veronica's cross stitch shown stitched out - I still have not tried the cross stitch desgins. Is this done on what I call aida cloth?
You must try them! I apologize but I'm not familiar with the word "aida" cloth. This kitchen towel is made of cotton and has a special border for cross stitch. *
Maria, these are lovely - thanks for sharing them and the site.
Nice to see crossstitch- I rarely get to see it.
Very nice.
