I turned on as I got out of bed, and it stays on until I wnet to bed. In between I do something else LOL. Marie
My computer gets turned on the minute I get out of bed, about 6 am most days, I am backward and forward to it all day until my husband gets home at about 5.45 pm, then I start dinner, but I am doing other things. It is now 9.53 pm and I am back on my computer and back on-line. However, I need to define productive time on the computer with wasting time. It is very difficult. I might be updating my site, digitizing designs, or just goofing around with cool people on Cute or facebook. So how much time is wasted? I am not sure, but I am going to guess, not a minute. I am enjoying every second, so that can't be a waste?

How much time? MOST of my time is spent on the computer. I am busy with my ebooks or designs.
Did you know you could watch entire episodes of tv shows on the computer.... most are free.
Oh, my.
my hubby and i have our own computers side by side so he never feels left out but he dose say when will you get time to do all those designs ....
Well.... since my computer is directly connected to my sewing/embroidery machine... LOL! That's the beauty of the Futura machines... you learn how to multitask. I can visit one of my fav spots on the internet (guess where that is), embroider, and work on digitizing almost all at the same time. In the evenings, I chat with my son on MSN Messenger and work on digitizing projects. I don't work so my time is my own... and here it is nearly 3 o'clock in the morning local time, and here I am.
My husband and I are retired. He's into music and games; I'm into my embroidery. Life is good.
My hubby wants to now how many designs I still looking for, I also do my sewing or embroidery after I done on the P.C.
As the cuties have said, far to much time on the computer. Checking out "cute", emails and face book every day. Then most of the day digitising, but I do try to have my machines running while I am digitising. Also work till late at night on the computer when hubby is watching TV. I don't watch much TV. Well now I am going to start my machines, lots to do. Hugs Yvonne
Thank you for all your responses. I guess we are all just about the same....we are addicted, we love our computers, designs, and Cute :))))
I'm on the computer a lot every day now..... trying to origanize all my emb. patterns and it is a colossal job!
Other than that... I check my emails, delete some, answer some, and check in here, and one other discussion board. I'm not on Facebook or any other social site..... I make cards, doctor pictures, etc.
I try to limit my time on here to about 2 hrs. a day but it has been more like 4 with these emb. designs. And guess what???? .... I bought some more designs and downloaded some freebies this week. At this rate I'll never get done!

Guess I'm guilty of too much time on the computer but it really started when I first got mine and hubby wanted to watch sports on TV which I don't like to watch so I'd get on here and play. Now that he is no longer here I am on here playing games or searching for Emb. patterns that I really don't need but want. Lately I'm not on as much since I have so many projects to finish.
Hmm :-) Some of the things I would like to write already have been written; I also have a job with computers, In the evening after dinner, During the week I download the most important designs, then I start reading the Comm- Personal, projects Tabs. This takes a while. Also my husband says "what are you write whole the time" ? ; with whom are you chating"; -He has an own portable and Iphone- so actually he does the same; So yes I guess I also live with my PC. I sew on Sunday PM so I also hope no one comes over and we do not have to visit someone :-)
All day - I work on a computer during the day. Late afternoon I spend time privately on the various sites etc and sometimes at night I have to work as well - deadline times (like last night).
It varies. Only one hour a day!!!, just as well your hubby does not live here. He would really have a problem. There are a lot of worse things you could be doing other than spending your time at the computer. Housework is a thing of the past in my home and I am loving it. LOL. Computer in one room, Sewing Machine in another. Guess where I spend most of my time. Marg
My PC is almost always on - I try to reboot now and again - to get updates - I have had some trouble getting to the machine as often as I really want to - but life has gotten in the way of that - but that too will calm down and I will get to really stitching again soon. I try to keep myself busy - when I am stitching - so I don't get bored with what I am doing.
Far too much time! Though hubby never complains because he would do the same thing if he could.
Well - probably more than I should - but I also work and on the computer at leat 8-10 hours a day with the job, then what I can catch from the net and Cuties when I am preparing dinner. I don't have as much time as many do, but my DH also says that I am always on the PC, or as he says, "are you still on that computer?"
A bit too much... between design downloads, retrievals and email..;>)
My computer is on all day till i go to bed then i shut it off ,i think it to needs to cool off and rest a spell lol hugs carolyn
My computer is on all day - whenever I come into the room I read what's new on the Community or in the Projects or DBC. Love Chris
P.S. My computer techie told me to keep it on all the time instead of what I was doing before and shutting down everytime I left the room.
So true Chris. The main thing with computers is to shut them down each night, but reboot immediately, then shut down the monitor/screen ONLY.
Every IT place I worked did this EVERY night and usually one of the techo's would check all the pc's every night, before he left the office, to make sure this had been done.
OK some days I spend giving flowers to everyone. Other days not so much. It depends on the weather!
