CUTE Family: What projects do you have in mind for the next 30 days - I know some of you have list that will go on for months - but what can you do in the month? Do you have UFO's from the previous season or year? Do you have something that you want to make for your favorite Valentine or for your Grands to share with theirs? Or are you ahead of the curve and working on several Holiday's away? Come on GIVE IT UP - tell us what you have planned.

Well, I almost did not answer as my plans are meager! I have a couple of Valentine projects to finish, a couple of St Patrick's Day projects, a couple of special orders, a wedding and a baby project and I bought some new jeans that I need to cut off and hem. I am to fat for my old ones. Kay

O poor you Michelle, can you use your left arm to use internet and just look and learn. or is that not possible.
I feel for you. Hugs Pam.

shirlener88 by shirlener88 27 Jan 2012

Michelle, I am so sorry to hear this - I will be praying for you and a speedy recovery.

katydid by katydid 27 Jan 2012

Sorry about your surgery, but I do think it it the best time of the year to be confined. No yard work yet! Try to cook a bunch of meals that can be frozen and popped into the microwave and get a very short hair cut as not to worry fixing your hair! Good luck!!!

I have lots of plans but whether I put them into practice is another thing. Since visiting Japan last year I plan to make a quilt, something I have never done before, but with a bit of help from Cuties I know I will succeed. Also I would like to embroider some greeting cards, card and attempt applique.

katydid by katydid 27 Jan 2012

Diane, what kind of wine bags do you make? I am interested? I made some Christmas ones about 4 or 5 yrs ago and wound up marking them down to .75. Obviously I did not do well and have not made and more.

If I can ever shift this lurgy long enough, I have to make 2 dozen FSL ornaments; 3 baby's cloth books; 4 little girls dresses; 1 little boys shirt and a pair of pj's; embroider 2 bath towels, 6 hand towels and 4 face washers; repair several shopping bags, frocks n slacks that need mending and test the baseball cap hoop to embroider two caps.
I was supposed to have all this done before Feb 6th
as well as the rest of an alphabet I have been working on.
Maybe I'll feel well enough to start tomorrow. :-)

I'm making a paper doll quilt top for a grand daughter, crocheting a scarf that is zig zag pattern, and embroidering corner bookmarks for my book club. Next month, in the book club, I am sharing the books I've written for my GC, should be fun. Also making some jewelry: a necklace, and bracelets.

I did get GS#1 SpngeBob twin quilt done for Christmas, am in progress of #2's. 2 more fabric bunches of strips to cut, and then, fingers crossed, sew this weekend. I am embroidering the monkey alphabet Abc's from mmembroidery (so adorable) my DIL's sister's baby for his quilt, then I have another baby quilt to dive into. But there are First Valentine bib's to make for my GD and Greatniece. Me? I have a sweatshirt hanging on my door waiting.Plus I have some quilt squares I promised for a quilt to sew the sashing on and get out tomorrow. Phew. If only I didn't have to work all week, I might be caught up Haha.

1. Have 25 Overralls to do logo's and Peoples names on.
2. 10 Golf shirts, still have to do the final digitising as well for a tour company
3. Set of bath towels, Names and butterflies
4. 3 Golf shirets for a personal Trainer
5. 15 Badgers for a fleight School.
Also have to stitch another set of 15 direct onto the epaulets of the shirts (30)

6. Making up of 30 Napkins and putting guests names on them. (So they are all different)
7. Then I have a design to digitise,
for my sister, for the company that she is working for. Don't know where to start. (Not good with digitising animals at all.)
ARE THERE ANY HELPERS OUT THERE.

The Napkins are only for March. So they will have to wait.

The others must be done by end of next week.

HELP , HELP, HELP PLEASE.
Well this should keep me busy for the next week, so if you don't see me much here. You all will know what I am up to.

Hugs and love

I've got a couple of doggy coats going around my sewing machine... one is finished, the other only needs the hook and loop tape sewn on... those are for somebody else... and, for the same person, I've got 6 meters of heavy upholstery fabric on my work table that she wants slip covers for the seats of her sofa and love seat. Before I start cutting and sewing, though, I need to get back over to her house and take more accurate measurements. (Which probably won't happen until next week.)

I've got some pajama fleece here to make a pair of pants out of for a friend of mine. I had started a Christmas tree wall hanging for her for Christmas, but it just didn't get done. Maybe she'll get for her birthday in July.

And, I've signed on for one of the quilts to go to Uganda... which is probably what I'm going to do next.

There's some other stuff, too... I'm sure of it... I think I'll go read a book.

I am making 50 gift bags for ladies gifts. with embroidery. close with ribbons and one pearl at each ribbon, have 9 done so far. However we are having the best winter ever and I tend to sit on the terrace in the afternoon with a book instead of getting on with it lol. Had started cutting for a beach bag and that will have to wait untill all wedding things done. Better so than being bored lol. Hope your teeth will soon be sorted. Hugs edith

I had a plan but it went to pot when my friend called and saw me beading the bauble covers from Embroidery Library - she wants two complete sets and a Christmas banner - yes another one! Daughters friend's baby has arrived so I can now get started on the 2 large Christmas stockings. Email from my cousin requesting a set of bauble covers, 6 toilet rolls and 6 tissue holders means my items are on the back burner - again! Ah well!

Dear Shirlene
here are my projects for the next 30 days
Embroider a tiger on a polar for a GS birthday 6 years, a polar for the birthday 1year of his brother, they both are born in februar. and also polars for the 2 others GS in this family, because it is winter and they need it.A cloth for my GGD that I will visit in 2 weeks, she is 1 year old now, embroider many dogs on a table cloth for my oldest GS and his wife. this table cloth will be very long to do...I do not know if i will finish all that, and perhaps one of my young great children say to me: "mamy, i need an embroidery on this or that", and it is always urgent to please to them!!!
You see I have never done some embroider for myself.
I have also to knit a jacket for one of the young GS before the end of the winter!!!

My goodness I wish there were 2 of me right now. I have so many things to work on and don't know where to start. Want to make Quillows out of my hubbys dress shirts for each of the grand kids and kids and embroider something on them. Just found out my great nephew (a twin) is going to be the father of twins so lots of things to make froe them. another friend's daughter having a baby so more baby things and the list goes on. Thinking of setting up both Emb. machines and use at the same time. Then there is the stuff to get made for the upcoming Farmers Market. But it won't all get done this month. Hugs and Blessings Judy

Got an order for a couple of towels for a newborn boy 5 minutes ago. Have done two UFOs today (hooded towels, parts already embroidered), digitised some Valentine giftcard holders that need to be stitched out (where, oh where is my red felt?), have to do a lot of sewing (girl's clothing) and am knitting in the evenings. Knitted a Barbie's outfit yesterday evening - nice to finish s.t. in one go. Sewing and embroidering clothes for charity. I'll see what I will have done at the end of the 30 days.
