When I d/l from the chinese site they are all in dst format and I change them to pes, but they are such weird (only word I can think of at the moment, to describe them) colors. I have one that the picture on the site shows certain colors, but when I opened it and went to change format it was different. What do you do?

When I download any design from there the first thing I do is take it into pulse ambassador and remove all unused colors, usually takes away over half or more of the colors shown(that aren't there anyway)then I can change the rest to what they should be.

You should always right click on the picture and save it for colour reference. hugs n roses, Meganne

I had the same and I just gave up d/ling from there. I want to spend time sewing not changing colours. xx

DST uses a number of colours in a set order, no matter what the actual colour should be. So either save a picture or use the colours you think best.

I just change the colours as they go stitching out. I know that green should be flesh colour, for it is usually the face and body features that is green. The others, I just use my imagination and it comes out lovely. Hope you can do the same. ****

I do a right click on the picture and save picture as to my file so I know what the colors are supposed to be. I then use Pulse Ambassador (free download) to change the colors to what they should be and save the file as a pes file. I have more fun changing the colors than I do actually doing the embroidery. I change lots of colors on my pes files too just to have something different. Easier to change colors ahead of time so my machine can tell me what color to load rather than trying to figure out what color to use next.

For some reason that digitizers can probably answer, DST does that! I usually can change them out in my software to something close to the original. I change colors on lots of other formats just because they don't suit me...by DST is a pain! I have a friend that uses that format and when she loads it into her machine they are just fine...but they aren't fine on my 'puter screen. No help here, just change them as you go. Linda
