Oh my I do like this. I am new at in the hoop quilting and hope I can make something half as beautiful. Great Job.
Hugs Joann
oh WOW!! looks great! I've been putting those on my wish list for quite awhile. Guess I'll have to try harder to find a way to buy them. which set did you get?
I bought 1 to 5 set 1 on special and then set 2 1 - 5. If you buy all of them it is cheeper, but I saw that after I got the first set.
Wow, I saw your question posted, and so looked for your project. I Think this is stunning, so much time must have gone in to it. I can see nothing wrong in the least. I would be so proud to have done this.
Hugs Pam.
Dit lyk pragtig. (It looks beautiful) Jy het dit baie mooi uiteengesit.***
The blocks have so much detail, your work is amazingly beautiful.
Your cushion looks beautiful. I made these same crazy blocks from mm but I didn't use the extra piece of fabric under mine. I think they look great, you should be very proud of it because I know how much work you put into this!!!!
Love this cushion, it's beautiful, all the colors combine well together. Great job! Hugs, Lidia
Lovely cushion .Maybe it puckered because the waterlily is a lot denser & larger than the other designs. On my machine sometimes I have to loosen the tension on some designs or the fabric has puckers around the design when removed from hoop & the stabilizer is ripped away
SIMPLY STUNNING! I love this style of work and the cushion certainly shows off all the styles perfectly. Love Chris
This is beautiful work, you've chosen some lovely colour combinations. I think you're being far too hard on yourself about the puckering. You are surely a perfectionist!!!!
Beautiful. I drool over these designs every time I go to her site. Your colors are great. Did you press from the back and use a pressing cloth?
Yes I did and the strange thing is the backing material I put the pieces on did NOT pucker! That is why I wonder if I must only make it on tearaway.
Hm, perhaps a very light iron-on stabilizer (like we put on the back of a finished design in shirts) that will stabilize those pieces. And that is just a ripple in the water!
Was that hard or time consuming. I really like it.
Very easy to do but time consuming. The digitizing is excellent. Here you can download the free block http://www.secretsof.com/content/...
Lorks great to me! I can't see any puckering either.
I don't see the puckering..and it's a beautiful piece of work. Well done.
Prettiest pillow I've seen in a long time. This was time consuming but well worth the effort. Betty
Beautiful! I saw your question on the Public board... puckering? I don't see it and I even clicked on your picture to see the larger version of the cushion.
Omit the material? Oh no! Those are applique designs and you must use fabric!
You said you ironed it and then it puckered. I've done that, too. The iron was too hot for the thread. Polyester or Rayon, both will sort of melt under too hot of an iron.
Hope my response helps for future reference.
But its still beautiful and you did a marvelous job!
Hugs,
Liz
No I had material under the pieces and if you look at the waterlily you can see the material puckered above and under the design. I had 2 layers of tearaway and the material in the hoop before I put the pieces down.
Its barely noticeable, Babsie. Its the flaws in the things we make that make them so precious. Nothing is supposed to be perfect.
So pretty, reminds me of the ones in a quilting book; has a victorian flavor. Glad you showed this.
