Ok, no laughing. My MC11000SE is "Sweet Pea". A few weeks ago I bought another sewing machine, a Janome 3160 QDC.When I sat down to try out some of the fancy stitches and play with the automatic thread cutter, I said, "OK, Sugar Bear, let's see what you can do". My serger's name is just plain, her name is "Sergie." Hugs..Carol

The only time I have a name for any of the 3 emb machines is when they are acting up! I really do not think that anyone wants to hear those names! Not too many things can get me as upset as a machine that has a mind of its own. I did learn a long time ago that when it happens, it is time to walk away and let it rest for awhile.

Mine is Ms. Magic, because when my grandson visits and we pick out designs and thread colors for tees for him, his friends and family, we make magic together...and the machine makes the design just like magic!

My Artista is named Big Lady and the Deco is Little Sophie (after my dear Sister Sophia who gave her to me) My BMW is named Sweetheart and my laptop is named Brainey. Silly, isn't it? But I love them all and my husband named his car Karretjie (little car). So, we are all named now. Hehehe.*****

I also meant to say, hopefully your older machine will be able to be fixed and that your embroidery and sewing will be excellent from now on when you work on your machine, which you can collect, at long last, on Monday. Good luck.

How about "Ditzy" Diamond, Dame "Edna" for the Elna after our famous Dame Edna Everage, "Beefer" Brother, Wonderwoman for the Supermatic, Soprano for The Singer (he he he) and for The Old Singer - Dame Joan! I hope your laughing by now. Love Chris

meganne by meganne 28 Jan 2012

now i'm coughing severely!!!! LOL!!!
Do you think I'll remember them???
What about the US Elna??
The Aussie Elna frequently gets called "The Lemon". When I think of the Brother I think of Eddie, my Brother.

Chris I was given one of these recently and took it to my dealer to get it looked at to get some very sad news. It has joined the pile of spares. I have all the booklets for it and now no machine

Oh! that's sad - I hope mine can be repaired - 1 day to wait to see if it can be done. Love Chris

Well Maria, as I am getting my beautiful Husqvarna Designer 1 back on Monday - and she tends to rule the home - I'm going to call her Harriet (which is of old German origin meaning HOME RULER)! Ha ha he he! Love and blessings Chris

P.S. I will be on the doorstep at Thorpe's at 9.00am Monday morning to collect her - I even strap her in!

I love my Designer I also and when I take her anywhere I also strap her in. She doesn't have a name as I don't name my possessions just my kids. So glad you are getting yours back so you can start embroidering again (and sewing).

I had a Datsun 1200 car years ago and called it BLIKKIE which is Afrikaans for TIN, because when you closed the doors it had a tinny sound. All our dolls also had names. I also talk to my machines when something does not go as I want it to!! LOL
