To my Cutie Sisters here in Australia - where do you buy your cut-away stabilizer and also Water Soluble stabilizer? I am in Sydney (Hills District). Also, which brands do you use? Thanks - Coral

I bought mine from Marathon Threads in Melbourne. To make the flat rate of $10 anywhere in Australia, I made a bulk order of other things I wanted as well.
I've had great success with both WSS and the WSS film and the service couldn't be better.

I buy mine from Designs By Sick. Like Meganne, I couldn't find stabilisers here in Oz for a compatible price, even after including the US$28 postage. :) xXx

My daughter has a web site here in Australia and she sells Machine Emb supplies. Have a look at
http://www.scrapdragon.com.au/
Look for Machine Embroidery and Quilting on left hand side.

I buy all my stabilisers and most other requirements from Shopper's Rule or ABC Embroidery Designs.

Even including the cost of postage to Aus, it is still the most economical and cost effective way to purchase, (in my opinion as a retired Trust accountant always looking for the best buys :-))

I realise some people are not comfortable shopping online, but I have never had a problem other than Shopper's Rule being a bit slow with their deliveries. I am usually not in a hurry as I keep my supplies well stocked.

I also buy Dry Cover Up directly from Hoop it all

If I could find somewhere her in Aus that sells the same quality for the same price (as what I am paying) I would switch, but nothing compares so far.
hugs n roses, Meganne

Thanks Barb. Do you use their pre-wound bobbins by any chance? Are they any good? Are they in Victoria?

barbararae by barbararae 30 Jan 2012

Yes ,I do use their pre-wound bobbins and my machine prefers the ones with cardboard sides.I find them fantastic for both embroidery and satin stitch applique. The company is based in Richmond, Victoria. Hope this helps. Barb
