Hi Chris, I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you. This is the Rag quilt that is explained on YouTube. I can't get the URL to work. Search for "How to make a Rag quilt" then select Rag Quilt Project Beverly's How To It is excellent and this one that Lisa made is easier still as it's in horizontal strips. This was her first quilt ever. Didn't she do great? The affect is all in the clipping and then when you wash and dry it, POOF, it comes out like this - MAGIC isn't it!
hugs, Jan
Please tell me how you get those wavy seams! I asked on your other one Jan? Link wouldn't load to the page you have put in that post. Love Chris
Its the clipping of the edges as in done in a rag style quilt and then washing a couple times makes them that way. I think
also the fabric used, how much seam allowance for snipping and how close together the snips are varies the look.
I just read again and she says she used 1 inch seams so you get more ruffling so to speak. Example, my quilt was .5 in about so a lot less ruffle. Also, looks better after washing. Thats what I see anyhow. It would be interesting to experiment with
this style.
Great jog and again so many bright colors, congratulate her, she did good,
hugs
Michelle
