Anita, your post put a smile on my face but I am sure for you it was not funny at the time. Good to have you back. Hugs Sarah.
We all survived our little injuries and shook them off. lol Had the refrigerator loaded in coolers in the car so ran out an got an ice pack for my swollen finger. lol
It is good to see your post. I am looking forward to pics. Live Laugh Download Stitch!
Will get some pictures posted when I locate the cord. I know I put it in a place I would remember. lol
I found it in the computer bags outside pocket. Will post pictures after getting the other house finished with the rest of the packing and moving.
We are up against 3 plus inches of snow over the weekend and that's going to put us behind. My DH hurt his knee the day of the move and that has left all the unpacking up to me.
Have to get the outside furniture, garage items, and a few things left in the home. Should be enough to fill a small U-Haul. Then to do a good cleaning.
Today our daughter is home from work with some kind of head/cough/stuffy/sneezing/fever/congestion that is going around her office so I'm being quiet for her and enjoying watching out the window, catching up on cute and doing some embroidery filing. It snowed earlier and there are still some snow flakes floating around. Heard air brakes and watched the school bus go down the mountain. Making home made chicken noodle soup for our dinner tonight. There's nothing like soup when your sick. Wish I had a pasta roller but I rolled out some noodles and hand cut them. Her dad brought her home some OTC (over the counter) cold medicine and now she is propped up on the couch and finally sleeping. Hope she feels better in the morning (our time now is 4:25pm).
My goodness, what a day. Glad no one was hurt to bad and the worst part of move is over. It has been 13 yrs since we moved last and the men in our church moved us out of the parsonage into our home we now live in. Those guys were use to lifting heavy things and they made the move look easy. Enjoy your new home. Hugs, Judy
Thank you. We had been 17 years and the move took 8 hours with 3 experienced movers. Long day but the movers were amazing and very courteous of our things.
Congratulations Anita on the move. It all takes time and now that you are getting settled it will go so mucy more smoothly. I hope you have moved into a lovely community and that you will make many friends. Love and blessings Chris
Thank you. Having our first snow fall at the new place today. Hope to meet some neighbors when we are out walking when it warms up.
Moving is for me a terrible thing. Have just done 4 moves until now but the last one we had so many boxes from a flat and with just one kid. Now we have two children and a house with a barn... But although I hope we can sell our house and move closer to Heidelberg cause Anna changes the school after the holidays and there you have more opportunities.
Greetings, Bettina
Best of luck on your house search. We looked for six months. Knowing that you will possibly move I'd start now going through your things and packing up what you don't need everyday.
Wow it makes me tired just reading. Moving is so exhausting. I still have boxes in my garage unpacked and I had moved 3 years ago. Glad you are back here
Exhausting at first to where I couldn't sleep now I'm sleeping better than ever. You have options to your unpacked boxes. Keep, Toss, Donate, Sale. We have someone coming to give us a price on the things we are not going to use and don't want anymore. So I'm going to keep unpacking.
Anita, glad that you are getting moved and getting past the troubles, too. Can't wait to see what you have done - but will. It does take time - to re-create space for your things - make sure you enjoy it as you do it - you are building a nest. Hehehe!
The house was an unexpected find and we are enjoying it. First night to have the whole evening after dinner to relax. My DH just told me they are giving him more hours (still no medical insurance)and he was offered a part-time weekend morning job and took it . Now it's time your luck turns around for the better. Hugs.
and he took it. Now it time for your luck to turn around for the better. Hugs.
