Totally beautiful work. It looks great and you should use it. Looks like a lot of work.
It really is beautiful! It's amazing you could do that on your machine. You did a wonderful jobl Thanks for sharing with those of us who have never tackled a huge lace project!
This is stunning work - I don't know why you would be afraid to use it - the lace witll out live the material. I hope you use it or pass it along to another.
I'm afraid someone will spill something on it or it will end up with a cigarette burn. My family is not the most careful when it comes to my table runners. I guess they figure if I can do it once I can do it again.
Wow simply stunning.. you made it so you should enjoy it :-)
Big hugs - maria xx
It is stunning, well done.Love the white lace with the white cotton. Hugs Yvonne
WELL SUSAN - IT'S WORTH IT BELIEVE ME. THIS IS AN HEIRLOOM IN THE MAKING. Congratulations on such an awesome job. I absolutely love it. Love and blessings Chris
It turned out beautiful, but it would be a shame if you do not use it...maybe scotch guard it and you won't fear anything spilling on it, good job.
I admire you for having made this superb doily. I haven't bought the design because I don't have the expertise and the patience to sew all the pieces together. Don't give it away as a gift. People who don't embroider don't realize and don't appreciate fully what has been involved in making this work of art. Enjoy it yourself and be proud of it every time you look at it! Hugs, Lidia
It is not difficult to sew together. My SIL sewed hers together with the sewing machine. I sewed mine together by hand. Then I sewed the lace to the fabric using my sewing machine. I used a zig-zag stitch to imitate a satin stitch.
Gorgeous. Scotch-guard it or frame it. To pretty not to have it out.
Such a pity that it is so dense and uses a lot of thread because it is so beautiful. This is one to pass down through generations. Beautiful.
Beautiful work. I have this saying "If you don't use it one day someone else will". So use it and enjoy it. Hugs Marg
I know what you mean i have a lot of those look but don't touch designs lol great job hugs

It is really BEAUTIFUL!!! I have found that alot of our sewing projects cost quiet a bit and take alot of time. You have to really enjoy it to put time & money into something.
Beautiful. My mother use to have a saying, why make it if you are not ging to use it. Just do so gently. And be proud of your beautiful accomplishment.

This is just stunning work. I really like the design you used. Such a shame it is costly and time-intensive to make. But, is gorgeous.
My SIL made one of these doilies that is 88 inches long! and either 4 or 6 placemats to match. My hat goes off to her! I'm happy just to have completed this 24 inch long one.
Gorgeous doily! Perhaps you could use it to display a keepsake in a frame?
