Lyn, what a wonderful question - whichever you like best - is how I would do it - which I have done both - depending on the bowl.
Thanks Shirlene, Thought you would know if anyone did. I agree some look great either way - like the Owl bowls, but others don't
I make the right side on the inside since I think that shows more.
Thanks for asking this question I was wondering too I have only made one and used the right side on the inside...hugs sally
I would make the right side for the inside of the bowl because when you take it in your hands you see the inside, and when you place it onto a piece of furniture you see the inside. Even though you use the same thread in the bobbin as well, as I do, you can see that the right side looks much better.
I would use the right side for outside only if the bowl has high panels.
Hugs, Lidia
if you fill it with something and sit at a kitchen table, wouldn't you want to look at the good side?
that is what I was wondering while sewing my bowl together.. I made the inside the right side.. since I used the same bobbin thread they both look great.. but I can tell..
I use the same bobbin thread but the wrong side to me always looks a little dull.
If someone sticks their nose that close, they are TOO close! Don't fret. Which ever side you see the most. If you sit and see it on the table, put the shinier on the outside. Jo
When you purchase a bowl, the design is on the inside. The plain side is the outside since it can't be seen as well.
Yep, I understand you Lyn - after all I'm like you - a South Australian too!!!!
I also agree with Bev and would make the inside the right side - as you look into the bowl. I suppose it also depends on how big the bowl is! Love Chris
Hate to tell you Chris but I was born in QLD, but glad you can still understand me.
Oh! no - a "Banana Bender" - sorry from a humble "Crow Eater"!! LOL! Love Chris
I made mine the right side but my sister liked it the other way better sooooooooo whatever you like i guess hugs carolyn
