Way back when, I'm not sure how far back, pink was a color for boys. Since it was a shade of red (the color of courage and blood) it was considered too strong a color for girls. And of course if you are christian, then you know that blue was Mary's color and therefore a good color for girls. Funny how things change over time.
When my son got married, I wore a pink dress and my husband pulled a pink and navy striped shirt out of the closet and said, "Would this be okay?" I believe he did it so that we would match!

wow that is funny! ah when our oldest got married I wore Pink & my dh had to match sew his tie & cumberbun were pink too! He always says it takes a strong man to wear PINK!
And pink and blue make purple! I love men in soft colors. I made my hubby wear ivory and peach when he married me, and he did!
Lol- reminds me of when my son was small,i always told him when he was out at friends places NEVER to ask for a drink and to wait to be offered, he was visiting my elderly neighbours house one day when she was making herself a cup of tea, she offered to my son who declined as he didnt drink tea, but as she opened the fridge to get milk he spotted a carton of orange juice, and remembering what i had told him, and promptly before the fridge door was closed, pointed to the orange juice and said loudly '' I LIKE THAT!!!'to which my neighbour offered him some- Sorry to ramble on, but this post brought back some golden memories :) hugs Marie
Cute, I guess, but sure hope he broadens his horizon's a little with time. Now men are 'allowed' to wear pastel colours -even pink, it really suits some of them. I like boys to have the opportunity to play with dolls, and girls have so much fun with toy garages and diecast cars if allowed the opportunity :) My now 16yo was so cute when he sewed his first soft toy -a 'cookie monster' with a cookie in one hand. Then he added a machete to the other hand, LOL.
Yes for Christmas 2010 I gave him a shopping trolley with Twin baby dolls a boy and a girl. Not sure what his Dad thought!
My grandtwins are 3 as well. They both get very upset when we mix up their pinks and blues.
