Just wanted to tell every one about my excursion yesterday. I went to the beauty shop and had my hair cut off and donated it to locks of love for cancer. My hair was almost down to my behind so they got a good bit of hair. This was my birthday present to all those who need it, hopefully they will have many more birthdays for I plan to. Hugs Mumzyfarm

4 out of 6 granddaugthers cut their hair for LOL and it is growing so fast they will do it again next year, that is suck a wonderful program

12667Happy Birthday to you, I am assuming you meant it was your birthday and you also donated to others. I have done that with my hair every since they started doing it - so many years ago - every couple years - I let my hair grow out to below my waist or behind and I know that it helps.
Here is a picture of the time before last in 2007 and I donated this much again in 2010 - I came into the salon with my hair in a braid and that is why my hair is so strange looking. Hehehe!

Such lovely hair - I know it is good to cut and by doing it you do good as well and also it will grow again - but forgive me - I would still have cried to let go of the great healthly looking crown.

Shirlene, I also had my hair always long. Then had it cut to above the shoulders, that was just after I had my 1st child. Never grown it long again. Also donated it at the time.

What a wonderful gesture! I wish I could grow my hair that long so I could do that too, but mine breaks off so bad I had to dye it just to see if its growing or not. Its growing about 1 to 1 1/2 inches a month, but its breaking off that much too. Hard water, and I do mean HARD!
