Does anyone have any ideas what makes the embroidery unit squeal or squeak when it moves. It is okay on short moves but is very loud when it jumps any distance at all. I have a Brother PC8500. Thanks in advance.

Perhaps a call or a visit to your dealer is a good way to find out. Then let us know, please.

I'll give them a call. My problem is the repair guy only comes once a week, it is 2 1/2 hours away, and you have to leave it and pick it up another day. Very inconvenient. Don't know if a different dealer works on Brothers but will check. Thanks.

My machine has more of a clunk, when it comes around the back right, and every once in a while there is a spot where a corner of the frame lifts up. I have tried to diagnose to no avail, I have heard that these units rarely break down. I saw one for sale on ebay when I first got this and yes I wish I bid as a justincase. The right upper corner of mine is lifting also. I've been putting a tiny bit of pressure on the lower right side of the hoop and it doesn't do it.

Not sure which Brother you have but I have a Galaxie 3000 and there is like a large rubber band in the casing of the embroidery unit. I have had to have this replaced due to the noise as it got twisted. The repairers said this happens sometimes and it was cheap to have repaired. (But inconvenient due to where I live) If you are in any doubt about your machine leave it and contact your dealer tomorrow

I'll give them a call. Don't want to make it worse. Thanks.
