I want one! I wonder if I have a tie? hmmm Thanks for sharing! Live Laugh Download Stitch!
Good job - and I have a tub full of ties that my daughter picked up....hummm do you think I should make some of these up?
I saved a box of ties of my Father's. I am excited to get the pattern. I will be making purses for the ladies in the family.
Thanks
I like this so much! I think you started out with a beautiful tie, and love the button closure.
It's cute and lovely! .. and being made in silk, it's also soft. Love it! Hugs, Lidia
Gerry, you did a great job and followed the directions very well....it looks great.....and if you have a 100% silk tie, you will have plenty of fabric to make this purse, just remember it is all on the bias so you must sew it carefully, but they look lovely.....and I am so proud of you Gerry.....will send out instructions tomorrow for the 14 that have sent me PM's....have been away from the computer today.
It is lovely - didn't realize there was that much fabric in a tie.
You do need one that's wide. I did one with a more narrow tie, & had to cut the base fabric down to match the amount of material I had! But it still looks good.
DOH !!! and i just cleaned out DH's old ties. Hmmmm mabey down to the Salvation Army i shall go . Thanks 2 both cuties Great idea :)
Have seen ties made into wrist wallets skirts etc. but not this cute purse.
First I mis-typed the name! It's quilter124! For you gals asking how to send a private message: go to the community; then click on the far right tab saying "private" when that comes up, to the right you will see "Private Message" click on that; when the screen opens there's a place to put "to" and there you type quilter124..then write your message in the other box below. Then "submit" When you get an answer back there will be a +1 beside that private tab, so be sure & check it! To answer back to quilter, you need to do a "comment" to your own message so it will go back to whom every you are messageing with. Hope this is clear & helpful!
