I am guessing you have Buzztools catalog V4?
In the "drives" box at the top left you would select the folder or drive that your designs are in. like in documents/embroidery files/ then birds or so forth. If you have Vista you have to go "user" first then your folder then documents and so on.
if the designs are on a CD or USB you would just click on the drive in the drive window.
You should now have a list of designs or folders if not click on the little plus sign next to the folder. You can click on the box next to the folder and it will select all of the designs in that folder to look at. then just click "ok" and your inside. once inside you can change how you view them by clicking on the view tab ( like how big you want to sew them or 3d mode or how color charts and so on, Tools tab gives you the converting option. it will also print a template for you and unzip your files. I upgraded to BuzzXplorer2 and it is amazing all of the things it can do for the price.

I have Buzz Tools Plus which lets me see the designs and change the format. Play with it, I'm still learning but it converts files for me really well, which is what I bought it for.

Buzzie has several differant programs . Which did you get. I have the catalog program. It is very helpful to look at files that other more costly programs wont even let you peek in until they are open. I also have pedesign, designers gallery and amazing box. The buzz is the only program which does that . Trial and error is correct . You will be going strong before you know it.

I have an old buzzxplore. But did you go to Buzztools.com? Or ask them your questions? I did when I first started out and they were very helpful. I do use all the buzz program and I am happy with them.

Hi There, I have just been looking on the internet for you and there are sites that have a user instructions for Buzz Tools. Go have a look and perhaps print out what you need. As with most of these programs it is also a case of trial and error. Good luck and I hope you master the program soon. Sarah.
