Today being February 22nd - I would like to honor my Mother - Loretta Jean Greenman - (Miss Loretta) it would have been her 84th birthday - it sure doesn't seem like it has been two years since she passed. I think about her daily and know - that when she left - she had struck a deal with the Lord to save Rick's life - so that she herself would be sitting at the hem of God and not him. I was so very close to her, only a few blocks away and I still couldn't get to her - before she passed - she went so very fast. We miss your sense of humor and smiling face dear Mother. Thank you each - she loved you so very much and did enjoy all the time that she shared with you each and loved the gifts that were sent to her in her final year or so, as well. She especailly remembered each week when she got her hair done. Love to each of you.

Carolyn, thanks - it would have been nice to tell her goodbye and that I love her. I wasn't five minutes away, just at the hospital down the road. Both of her pictures are lovely - she always took a good picture.

42046Shirlene, I think it is so wonderful that you had such a great mother. And, you got to enjoy her for many many years. You shared your love of family and so many other things, including machine embroidery. How special is that! I can tell she was a very special woman, and I'm sorry I didn't get to know her. But, in a way, I do know her, through the loving woman you are, and the way you share her memory with all of us. 59631It's been 15 yrs since I lost my mother and hardly a day goes by without me thinking of her in some way. I miss her still and always will. That's why love goes on I guess It never goes away. I still wish I could pick up the phone and call her just to hear voice again. Same with my Dad. It's good that you still think of her often. She would have wanted it that way, I'm sure. Bless you,
