The Tulle may not fray once you cut around the design where Organza may fray.
By the looks of this they used a fine tulle meaning it has small holes so is a finer tulle.
It is probably Bridal Tulle.

I would use a size 75/11 or a 80/12 embroidery needle not any larger.
Do a test stitch out first on Organza or tulle which ever you would use for the shoes.

I would think if you stitched on Organza you may only need to use one layer of the organza between the layers of water soluble stabilizer.

It is a very pretty idea for wedding shoes.

The design has just over 15,000 stitches so it is not real stitch intensive.
many FSL design have more stitches than this and usually a 75/11 needle is used for FSL.
Try a test stitch out first using a 75/11 needle!

Um..Anna 'Bovine'? LOL I hope cows are your favourite animals :) They do look great. I'd never have dreamed of decorating shoes with embroidery.

I would use a 12. regular needle. I also agree with organza over tulle, it does look nicer and tulle is scratchy. Cant wait to see the results! Live Laugh Download Stitch!

I think I would use a sheer Organza, it has a much nicer look to it...I always thought that tulle had a to course look & feel. The Organza looks so much classier. I have used Organza to make designs free standing several times. There is also sparkle Organza that may give this design some extra shine. You can trim Organza close and carefully use a soldering iron and melt it even closer and it seals the edges.

It looks pretty thread intense - I believe I would use a larger needle on this one - so you don't break threads - what did the designer suggest?

she didn't say anything about the needle or the thread.so do you think a 90/14 would be the size to use

Most recommend a small needle for FSL, 70/10, but you could also use the next larger size 80/12. I would not use 90/14. Jmho. Good luck with your project. It is a beautiful design. Nan W

Could not help you with the question but wanna add a pic of the design. I've seen it and thought it looks marvelous like for a princess or even a bride. Wish you success with the stitching and hope for some nice pics in projects ;o)
Greetings, Bettina
