I think most people use Embird. Thats what I'm learning use. I had an expensive program and all I could do was edit and text. I gave that up and bought the Embird. Everyone on this site has been very helpful. Besides being easier to use, the price is right!
Hi mnladyus,
That's one I was looking at too. Did you buy the complete program? and did you buy it online?
If so, so they send you a physical CD as well?
Annnnd.... sorry for all the questions:
Can you digitize you own designs on it?
I bought it online at secrets of embroidery. You also get points for free designs. I bought the Basic, Iconizer, Studio, and Font Engine. You don't have to buy it all at one time, but I did. There is more you can buy also. They have a trial version but your limited on what you can do. I didn't pay extra for the CD. I seen no reason to. Yes, I have been learning to digitize my own designs with the help of lots of yahoo groups, and help from all these wonderful ladies on this site. Best thing I did was got rid of the old and bought Embird.
Got cut off again 8-(. Give the tiral version a try. Yes, I have been digitizing some of my own designs with the help of yahoo groups and the wonderful ladies here on cute! Best thing I did, got rid of the old and bought Embird.
Keep in mind, none of them are easy, and you have to spend lots of time with the programs. I have pulled many of hairs out, but I love it. I wish I had more time to play.
Wish I could help, Kitty, but I have a Bernina machine which I bought the bernina software to use with it and it is very feature rich and I love it, but I don't know if it is only proprietary to bernina machines, although you can convert to other formats..but I don't know how it connects with other machines..Vicki
Thanks vicki.
I forgot to mention... I have a Brother machine... I don't know if that makes a difference
