feel for you here in perth finally have some cooler days today just 26 have to say i hate it when it goes over 35 at least you can spend the day sewing..
Hi Lyn - we have also had extremely hot weather here in South Africa. Living on the coast it is extremely humid. We also need some rain. My poor garden is suffering and we have water restrictions, so only allowed to water with buckets. Oh well - I rather that than snow. LOL. Sarah
Sarah, Thank goodness we don't have water restrictions at the moment. It did reach almost 41C today.
It's been around 40C here in rural WA for the last week but last night was so cold my fingertips went numb like it was winter (15C) lol expecting 32C today and another cold night. Hope summer stays a while longer though coz I hate the cold weather :) xXx
I feel for all of you in WA. Think your temps get higher than ours at times.
Ahhhhhhhhhh Lynn i hate hearing this .I am in another snow storm ,the darn snow is higher then my head in spots its almost up to the stop signs now . hugs trying to stay warm carolyn:):)
I will be praying for you Lyn and all the others.
Shirlene it looks as though all of the southern part of Australia has had it hot the past few days and yet in Queensland they are having just so much rain.
Ooh! How I remember those ghastly summer holidays in Adelaide. You've been having a rough trot over there. I hope you get some relief soon Lyn. Love and blessings Chris
Here in Northern NSW it is raining again. YUK. We have webbed feet, lovely weather for ducks!!!!!!!!! Marg
Girls, please keep drinking water so you do not dehydrate...think of you it is only 29 here in brissy! Hugs Sally
39C here, Lyn. That's 102.2F. I believe it could go higher here. Nasty N/NW wind building up, too. It's a real fire danger day.
It's 31.3C already - that's 88.3F. I shopped early. Did the washing early, too. It was dry in minutes.
I'm hoping my daughter cancels the visit to the Lakes Playground for my little great-grandson's 1st birthday party and has it at home instead. Even in the deep shade of the lovely trees the air will still be very hot.
I don't mind the hot weather but it's difficult to get used to a jump from around 20C last week to 40C this week. The ever-present thought that current arsonist who's been lighting fires along the Penola Road a few Km from here last week is a worry, too. If a fire gets into the pine forest across the road I think this house would go up with it.
It's a good day to sew and connect with cyber-friends, though, and I have to admit that I enjoy getting into a real Aussie Summer Routine for a while.
AlmaG.
Why don't we just share and that would bring the temps both back to an even temp.
