I have all the hand puppet designs. I have a 5x7 stitching field. I use Embird. Can someone tell me how to capture just the face in the original size. I printed out the templates and will use my regular sewing machine to make the puppet but I need the original size face only to stitch on the fabric. I'm very tired tonight and can hardly think straight so any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm still working on my quilts (almost done) and pocket dolls. It would probably help if I concentrated on one thing at a time!! LOL

Thanks ladies for any help you can offer.

In Embird editor right click on the design and use separate all colours, then delete the placement line (the first colour) and the last colour that stitches front and back together. Now save what's left under a new name so you don't overwrite the original. That's it. In the design of the tiger the stripes have connecting stitches, you might want to take those out - that can be done in stitch mode. Good luck, Martine.

That should be "right click on one of the colours of the design" not on the design itself -was working from my iPad so I could not check my instructions.

Thank you ladies. Women are such good engineers! Got them all done except the elephant. I will keep working on that one. I am off to reduce my stash of fleece. You could also make a toy out of this by stuffing it and sewing off the bottom! I'll play today.
Thank you again.
