Ok.. here is a good one.. My hubby went to his computer this morning to do his normal stuff and there was a pop up in the bottom corner.. I was standing next to him and all he did was click it off.. he did not read it.. well all day long he has been on the phone with every tec possible .. could not get the computer to get on the net..we even bought a few new parts.. just as we are getting ready for bed and he is pulling his hair out.. he is computer savy .. I suggested that he run a virus check if it will off line.. so he clicks on Avast . and when he clicked that pop up this morning it turned off the Avast program and that shut down his internet as a protective measure.. so just by chance .. now he is back on line and all is fine and he should get a good nights sleep.. so always make sure your antivirus programs are up and running.. none of the tec's he was on the phone even suggested looking in that area..

Aren't computers frustrating sometimes. The smallest thing leads to hours of frustration. Glad things are back up and running for you. I know he's glad you mentioned that.

That sounds just like what my DH would do, only he wouldn't call any tecs.

That is soooo cute! I used Avast! free for a long time, then figured my puter was worth a little more, so I paid for the better Avast! and it is very good. Hugs, Judy

I used to us Avast. They are very good, but I now use AVG free and don't seem to have any problems with them.

put it in safe mode and run task manager and turn it off then delete it. i had one that even disabled task manager.
