Digitizers this question is for you. Now that you can make anything...... Do you still get the free designs that you can? Thanks DeVon

I usually only download free designs from Sick or the Cute network, but then only ones I really like.

I still buy certain designs when they are on sale, from trusted digitisers and the price is so good that it wouldn't be worth my while to digitise them myself.
Sometimes a bargain is just too good to pass up.

I rarely stitch out my own designs because most of those I digitise are requested by others and not necessarily to my taste.

I was digitising before I used internet and the first site I ever visited was this one. I bought a membership and downloaded only those I thought I would use. Only freebies I collect at a regular basis are the ones at Cutealphabets and I'm sure I won't use them all - and now and again I get one when I've seen something beautiful in Projects.
I hate jumps and find myself altering designs to get rid of them, but when in a hurry it's nice to have a good stock of well-digitised designs.

Yes, I still collect freebies!
But there is more satifaction when I stitch one of my own.
I am not a fulltime digitizer, so I get to choose e.g a "Cute" Hand Puppet.
I also like to be able to combine/duplicate for a big hoop stitchout. And to add my own words.
I have the best of both worlds :)

No I do not get free designs, but I never really was a big freebie downloader even before I could digitize. I would only ever download something if I wanted it for a particular job. If I am pressed for time I will purchase a design if it is what I need but this is rare.

I am like what the other digitizers said before I started creating my own fsl and and my website. I was a download junkie when it came to fsl free designs. But now with having my website, plus my items in a mall store and working parttime at a regulr retail job, I just don't have the time for anything else. But creating designs and getting them stitch out out or maintaining my site.

Same as Dino, DeVon, before I started digitizing I was like drunk on a binge.....downloading everything free, just because it was free...now am very selective in what I DL and I still buy too, but they are generally designs that would take a long time to do or from clipart I would have to buy.

Yes, I still get the free designs that I can, but I have become very selective and download only those that I think I will use or that I especially like. When I first started I saved every single free design, but not anymore. Too many I'll never use.
