Does anyone know what I am doing wrong when I try to download free emb designs from freebielover.com and other similar sites? When I click download, my browser brings up a new page with a scrambled letters but no download.

Try right clicking as "Save Target As". Your computer is trying to open the file instead of save it.

I've had that happen a few times and don't know why, but instead of 'left click and save', try 'right click' and 'save as'. It may do the trick :)

I have a PC desktop and an Apple laptop. When I try to down load from Designs by Sick on the laptop, I get that same page of scrambled letters. I don't have that problem with the desktop. And not all sites are a problem with the Apple.
Could this be your problem?

Also dl tons from freebielover and sistersites and never had that problem. My only problem is that i cannot unzip the 3letters from the alpahbets they have 2x a week. Get a "fault nr.1" message and that my mac is not able to unzip. Only way is over about 10 steps with embird ;o)
Maybe it is your firewall or the anti-virussystem?

The letters haven't changed again. I have that problem too. I just keep checking on them all the time. Im waiting for download 68 to come around from embrofee.com I seem to miss it all the time.

Hi bkay, I always everyday every minuet I am on those 5 sites and never have come across this. I do know some of those sites when you download the number never changes on embroideryisfree.com you can go into the files and get the right number or just put your own number.
