John Deere Tractor fabric - does anyone have some?
There is a sweet lady at our grocery store, who always talks to Ben, who is fairly limited in what she can do. But she CAN make rag quilts. She wants to make one for us for the Uganda orphans. I told her I'd make her a kit and asked her what kind of fabric she'd like to sew. She said John Deere tractor fabric. I went to the local fabric store, and they don't have any. That store owner is the one who taught her how to make rag quilts and said she'd help her get it done if I could find the fabric. I need about 3 yards altogether. Does anyone have any in their stash who would like to donate it to the cause? There are little miracles happening all over the place with these quilts! What a joy it is to be at the center! Jan

We are making rag quilts out of regular woven cotton and they are turning out great!

234507Do any of you remember hearing about the guy who went crazy and built a tank around his bulldozer about 5 years ago, and went on a rampage around a little mountain town? One of the places this guy destroyed was this lady's home, along with the local library, town hall, newspaper office, bank and Gambles. It was really sad. He was upset about her deceased father and the rest of the town board. Her home has been rebuilt since then, but it was really traumatic for her and her sisters.
