This is something neat a friend of mine, Dorothy from Nova Scotia, does with finger puppets she knits! Her son Troy has one of the same syndromes Ben has. I've known her since before her daughter was born, and in fact, helped her through all the worries of carrying a baby when you've already had one with challenges! Do you think she'd make some for Uganda???

I know I saw ITH finger puppets some where, and I am getting good at ITH and would make a few.I have made 2 DBC puppets thus far. If one of our digitizers has time... I can help! Live Laugh Download Stitch!

They are cute and when I was little my dad would put nails into a wooden spool of thread and we would make chains that were hollow tubs in the middle depending on the size of the hole of the spool. You don't have to know how to knit if you make them this way. Put a couple links in on this craft. They go by many names. Then you could use a simple hand embroidery to add the features.

They all look great & would help the children. I wonder if anyone knows how to crochet them as I can't knit.

Jan this is a wonderful story about the small puppets rolling all over the world :o)
I'm sure your friend will spend some for Uganda as well.
