I've been watching the floods on the weather channel & am thinking of you all. I often assist the SES, as a volunteer in the Rural Fire Service( we do more than fight fires), so may even be called on to help where you are

How awful for you.
I'm in Qld.... rather cyclonic atm.
Can't leave any windows open as it's blowing in from all sides. Fortunately we are high so can't get flooded.. but the driving rain is incredible.
Hope your flooding eases soon june... then the big cleanup :(
Sorry to hear about the flood in your sewing room. It would be an awful mess to clean up. I watch it on the TV and it nearly breaks my heart. Hugs.
Hi June - are you in Queensland, too, or somewhere under that strange belt of moisture across the middle of Australia last week? Did your machine get damaged? Did you lose any fabric, magazines or fabric? Did you lose any supplies like stabiliser?
AlmaG.
So sorry to hear about the flood in your sewing room. We have been having heavy rain here in Durban since yesterday, today was even worse - 100% - for the day. Luckily the sea didn't rise above the beach section. Hope you are OK now. Love and hugs ***
I am sorry to hear your sewing room is flooded , it would break my heart to have it happen , if only you could send a little rain our way in Perth over east you have dams over flowing here ours are down to 37 % full , we live in a counrty of " Drought and flooding rains " but I wouldnt live anywhere else , only wish I was closer to help you clean out your sewing room. Cathy
Reminds me that our weather here in the UK is generally never extreme. Here in Liverpool our autumn and winter have been most acceptable with not a thought about hurricanes or floods so I'm very sorry about others trials and tribulations and the loss of life we are hearing about. Jan
Hi June, I really hope your sewing supplies are salvageable, Us Aussies really have been copping the wet weather for the past couple of years. It is raining here in The great South East of Queensland as I type.
Hugs from Queensland.
Alice.
Hope your sewing supplies are oke and machine too. so sorry to hear and must be such a shock to see this in your sewing room. Our little heavens lol.
Hope it is not too bad. Thinking of you all over there in floods and storms. Hugs edith
Flooding besides tornado is the worst, OK they are all bad, Hopefully you can recover your material and other sewing supplies. Hope you stay dry for awhile! christine
oh dear I know how you feel I've been through 3 of them myself! Hopefully it is a realtively inexpensive fix! & that it doesn't take too long! First time it took 6mths & hopefully the last time it took 1yr!
Sorry about double comment, had a call in the middle and got confused. Bev
Sorry to hear about your sewing room, hope the water was not too dirty. I've been up and down a ladder in the kitchen yesterday afternoon, evening and today, emptying a bucket in the roof space which is catching water from a leak in the roof. Didn't want to worry the overworked volunteers with a minor problem. Will call the company who worked on our roof in the morning and get it fixed. Bev

OH Heavens! This is terrible, so many people around the world are suffering through nature's disasters. I don't watch the news any more because it just tears me apart that there is so little I can do to help except pray.
Since we moved here on the creek flooding is my worst nightmare. Every time we get torrential rain I worry that this is going to be the 1 in 100.
We had water in our back yard that was over the top, of the back, of the garden seat, so it came up to our house foundations, thankfully no higher.
I do not envy you the mess you have to clean up, hopefully you can salvage a lot of your fabrics by washing in Nappisan and getting them dry as quickly as possible.
My prayers go out to all humankind for the suffering thrust upon them.
Meganne
Oh no! that is awful I have been wondering if any cuties are in the area's flooding in NSW & VIC... Brisbane had that in January but not as bad as last year. I was one of the lucky ones no water through my place. Hope it is not too bad! Hugs sally
June - very sorry! I hope you are able to salvage your sewing supplies and that the rest of your home is alright!
Hugs, Laura*
Canberra is very waterlogged too. Sorry about your sewing room. Hope it eases soo. Lyn xx
So sorry to read this June. I hate the smell of damp and no doubt you will be having a few things to clean up. I hope the rest of your home didn't suffer. Trevor got under our house this am and took out 2 buckets full of water behind one of our retaining walls - we were lucky. And we are nowhere near the flooded areas. Just lots of rain over the past weeks. Love and blessings Chris
