I had the studio 4D with my machine, but I think that Buzz Tool must be handy to convert a lot of files. Is it expensive, where can obtain it?
I don't currently use any of my softward for organizing, but I use Embird, Janome Pro MB3 and Palette 9 for editing and digitizing. Embird has just added a new feature for organizing and searching...Embird Quick Searcher...which now comes with the Basic Embird program. Haven't really looked into this new feature yet..but love the Basic Embird program and the Iconizer add-on I couldn't live without. It allows you to see the pictures of each design in the folders...Love that!
Sew What Pro for editing, adding lettering, sizing, merging, deleting parts of designs. It is easy to use!
I also have Viking Software but my desk top that it is on is not working right now.
For Organizing designs I use my own file system on my computers and also back up on external hard drive and DVD or CD.
Sew What Pro also converts to many design formats and writes floppy disk for the Designer 1 machine.
I use digitizer jr. that I got with my machine to make changes and I use my editor, wilcom true sizer and pulse ambassador for changing formats.
I use PE design 7. It took some time to learn to use it and I am still learning. If I have a lot of files to convert Buzz tools works for me!
Hugs, Bonnie
I've done it the slow/hard way. Pictures of each design with a note where it is found and on which memory stick AND cd. -- done up in different folders according to categories.
It took a long time... and now I'm keeping up with it each time I get a new design.
It was time consuming but it works!

I use Designer's Gallery Studio Plus for organizing and usually Embird for editing.
Since I have a Bernina, which came with the software I use that one. Love it and am still learning!
I use SewIconz for organizing and SewWhatPro for editing. Very happy with both. Sarah.
Viking 4D for most everything, I have Extra and Stitch Editor. I do alot of tweaking the designs, removing errant stitches, etc. But I can't see or "read" and ART designs, and converting more than a folder at a time can't be done. So I got Buzz Tools Plus and I can convert entire folders inside folders, many at a time. Works great when you get a new machine and need to change formats! I love 4D, but Buzz is my backup when I get a design that says it is corupt, Buzz can handle it! Linda
I have P-E design. It shows up all the PES;HUS;DST:EXP files.
I use pulse ambassador to convert VIP: or others.
Hugs Bev
I like my Designer Gallery but have not tried others. I certainly would not like to start over with categories in another piece of software at this point! YIKES!
I use PE design 7.0 with my Brother machine... works pretty good...
I use folders in Windows to organize. Look at them through Buzz Tools and edit in Palette I also use Designer Gallery.
Buzz Xplore for organising, Generations for digitising.
Bernina V6 for all bells and whistles and the free one Artlink to send from laptop to machines.

you mean cuties are organized! I've been wondering why I'm always lost here!LOL
I have the Janome Software, but must admit I edit mostly in Embird which I think is a really great product
what Janome Software? I have a Janome 10001 sew maybe I can get it too? Hugs Loralye
I have Customizer and the Digitizer MB. I have had a couple of lessons on the digitizer which have helped. I don't know if I'll ever use it to it's full potential though.
I have customiser, which is no longer available and is very limited in what it can do. Is the Digitiser MB too hard to understand if, like me you are not computer savvy? or like a lot of cuties do you find Embird best and does it do as much as the Digitiser MB would do if you stuck at it? It's so much dearer.
I have pe-design by brother just cannot get to grips with it.. ive tried generations did not like this one either.. so I will stick with my favourite
Embird :-)
big hugs from London

I use Buzz Explore. I have never used any other program so cannot comment on any of the others.
