What is your favorite embroidery software for organizing and editing your designs?

I had the studio 4D with my machine, but I think that Buzz Tool must be handy to convert a lot of files. Is it expensive, where can obtain it?

I don't currently use any of my softward for organizing, but I use Embird, Janome Pro MB3 and Palette 9 for editing and digitizing. Embird has just added a new feature for organizing and searching...Embird Quick Searcher...which now comes with the Basic Embird program. Haven't really looked into this new feature yet..but love the Basic Embird program and the Iconizer add-on I couldn't live without. It allows you to see the pictures of each design in the folders...Love that!

Sew What Pro for editing, adding lettering, sizing, merging, deleting parts of designs. It is easy to use!

I also have Viking Software but my desk top that it is on is not working right now.

For Organizing designs I use my own file system on my computers and also back up on external hard drive and DVD or CD.

Sew What Pro also converts to many design formats and writes floppy disk for the Designer 1 machine.

I use PE design 7. It took some time to learn to use it and I am still learning. If I have a lot of files to convert Buzz tools works for me!

I've done it the slow/hard way. Pictures of each design with a note where it is found and on which memory stick AND cd. -- done up in different folders according to categories.
It took a long time... and now I'm keeping up with it each time I get a new design.
It was time consuming but it works!

Viking 4D for most everything, I have Extra and Stitch Editor. I do alot of tweaking the designs, removing errant stitches, etc. But I can't see or "read" and ART designs, and converting more than a folder at a time can't be done. So I got Buzz Tools Plus and I can convert entire folders inside folders, many at a time. Works great when you get a new machine and need to change formats! I love 4D, but Buzz is my backup when I get a design that says it is corupt, Buzz can handle it! Linda

I use pulse ambassador to convert VIP: or others.

I like my Designer Gallery but have not tried others. I certainly would not like to start over with categories in another piece of software at this point! YIKES!

I have Customizer and the Digitizer MB. I have had a couple of lessons on the digitizer which have helped. I don't know if I'll ever use it to it's full potential though.

janetedna by janetedna 07 Mar 2012

I have customiser, which is no longer available and is very limited in what it can do. Is the Digitiser MB too hard to understand if, like me you are not computer savvy? or like a lot of cuties do you find Embird best and does it do as much as the Digitiser MB would do if you stuck at it? It's so much dearer.

janetedna by janetedna 07 Mar 2012

er would do if you stuck at it? It is so much dearer. Jan
