Can I install update to Deco 340 via usb stick?

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased a used Deco 340. It has both card and usb capabilities. A card did not come with it. I have found a version update 1.1 for it and am not able to successfully install it with a 2GB usb stick (even tho their directions indicate than any memory media will work) that has been formatted so nothing else is on it. I wonder if someone here can help me or point me in the right direction? I've looked all over the net and made several calls to Bernina dealers all to no avail. The shop I bought it from is not a Bernina dealer, either. :-(
