rar is a compressed file, not a format. I found a free program called jZip. I really like the way it works.
Thank you for this question. I have never been very sure about rar and have lovely designs in stock which I was never able to extract. I am goint to do so right now. Thanks for all the information. Have a lovely day.***
I like the fact that when you ask for help, there are so many others that benefit from the answers.
I've got Pulse Ambassador to open my rar files. It was or is still a free download file. I can't remember how to download it anymore perhaps one of the other cuties can help Hugs Marie
Thank you, my Pulse is old so doesn't show rar and didn't like the updated version, so kept my old one.
Depending on the Windows version you are using you might try this:
Right click on the 'rar' file
In the window it brings up click on 'explore'
In the next window you should see the designs contained in the rar file.
Highlight the files you want and copy and paste them to a folder on your computer.

I use the "free rar extract frog". It's a free program that I was told about when I asked when I first started and needed to open some rar files (hadn't known at the time why I couldn't open them and so of course came here for help).
The new alpha had the B up to start with and then I was on here again later and the A was up and now it's back to the B. (I usually miss one of the first two letters this waym but this time - strange - I got them both!!).
Good Morning! I can't help about the A part, but the rar is a compressed file - just another form of zip and your copression software winzip, 7zip should take care of it for you. It sounds like it is a multiformat compressed file. Good Day! Live Laugh Download Stitch! christine
7zip is the program I was looking for, just couldn't remember its name.
Thank you
