hello,
Thank you so much for the beautiful designs. I was thinking of making a wall hanging with all your vegetable designs done on burlap. I only have the ideas in my mind so far. I will send a picture when/if it comes to fruition. Thanks, Sharon
I love all your designs. Thank you so much for sharing them all with us. This is probably a stupid question... but are Butter beans and Lima beans the same thing? My friend just opened a restaurant called Butter Bean
I think butter beans are white and bigger than the lima beans also taste starchier than the lima beans. The lima beans are green and a bit of a nuttier flavored. I love them all. Rachel
Apologizes ~~~ Are Limo Beans the same as pea pods ? This is what my pea pods from the grower market look ~~ other than the leaves ~~~
I bought some of these just the other day. I'm so lucky to have a little farm market a mile away. Got strawberries too. They came from Florida but, I have seen them planting rows of them down the street not far away. Fresh is nice. I wish everyone could taste them or better yet grow their own.
How could something that looks so pretty taste so yucky? You did a great job on these nasty veggies, Vicki Couldn't they just be my favorite, green beans???
Thanks for your pretty design :-)
No butter beans either - they have that..... Yucky taste... I love all the rest of the beans, but these have that.... Yucky taste ... that make my nose go up - LOL - just plain yucky - and I love brussle sprouts, and kale and turnips and mustard greens - all of that, just not lima beans. weird me - just yucky taste - like bitter...
Eggplant is delicious too - and artichokes and asparagus too! Have you ever tried jicama - wonderful, crisp and delicious :-)
Maybe someone can tell me how to prepare them, to try again... I usually love veggies...
I just open the can, heat them up and melt butter on them and sprinkle them with pepper.......mmmmm, good....
I haven't had lima beans for years. Sorta forgot all about them. I used to buy frozen mixed veggies when my kids were little. My son would sit and pick out all of the lima beans as his special prize. :) Thank you. This is a great design!!
Wonderful now how do i cook these Lina beans i am not a good cook LOL. Thanks for the wonderful design.....Brenda
Thanks Vicki, never heard that name.Could it be peas in the UK I wonder?
I'll bet that's what they may be...I also love butter bean, they are kinda like lima's but bigger and more yellow.....
LOVE limas... the nice big, fat Fordhook variety. I've never had them fresh though. So come summer, I may be haunting the Farmers' Market to try them. Thanks so much for sharing the limas, Vicki.
Marion, I've seen them, but I have never had the fresh either, as with dried beans, I imagine they take forever to cook and I like to have them now when I crave them!!
Nothing better than right off the vine limas - they taste completely different - my daughters would stand in the patch eating them like they were candy! LOL Thanks for the memory!
I'm liking this one, it kind of reminds me of a seed packet.
