I am going to one in mid April and another in June and thinking about maybe should i go to the one in September. They are so much fun,you learn things that you would never try, that you think are outside of your box. You make new friends with like minded people, their is a web site set up at the begining so you get your list of projects. Then the fun begins getting each kit ready. cheers Heather

NT Queensland Australia. What you can do is organise one yourself with ladies in your own area. Look for a venue that can provide food sleeping and an area that you can set up your machines. They will often give you a good discount if it is in their quite time. You can do UFOS or new projects,we like to try new things. Invite people to put up ideas of what they would like to try, this can be done on the web we use yahoo. Many sites will give permission to use some of their designs, and are happy to send them to you. Please always remember to ask everyone to thank them. Some will evan send samples. A good time will be had by all. cheers Heather

I have been on Machine Knitting weekends, which were great. I would love to go on a Machine Embroidery one but they are to far away from where I live and I do not like going through airports, as I have a ear problem and cannot cope with all the loud speakers etc.

My embroidery rep, has had a retreat for 4 years. The first year, two other ladies and me went on Fri Sat and leave sun afternoon. It was fun but way to many projects to do. Overwelmed. The next 3 years we went on Thurs ( because you got a goodie bag with lots of free stuff and wine at dinner). She cut back to 6 projects, with a mystery quilt, which I posted in projects with basketkases flowers. It was so much fun, but, it is only 35 miles from our homes. 45 ladies with baby locks. The total cost for all was $350.00 dollars, with some project materials included. All the meals and room (2 people) included. This is my winter get-a-way.
