What do you do when you have a couple of days to yourself?i have decided that i will make up kits for the future in zip lock bags while my machines are clanking away.

I haven't had much time to myself lately but am going to retire at end of April. I am so looking forward to finishing projects and starting more. I am teaching myself to long arm quilt and can't wait to really get into it.

Hugs to you all,
m

Good idea. I try to keep a couple of projects ahead so I find my designs and get them on my thumb drive, press and starch the fabric so I am ready or go as soon as I finish a project. and yes, I do much of this work while my machine is stitching away. I never thought of the ziplock bags though.

I find they are great when i am getting projects ready for retreats. I put the project sheet in the front and a sticker that i jot down anything that i still have to add.

That's an excellent time saving idea, there is many a time when I would have done something but thought by the time I get everything together I just havent had enought time to stitch I do wish I was more organised but I am seriously gonna give it a go

What a great idea! I'm going to have to do that. It would be easy to cut pieces for in-the-hoop things especially and have it all ready to go. Make a quick present even quicker. Thanks for that idea!

In the hoop kits work well. Also i put the design on my stick or card and print out the file directions. If you like you can put in a note where the design can be found when you need it. I try to do up my kits for my christmas gifts early in the year, that way i can do them without fuss.
