Did you slow your machine down ???
Good point. I had it exactly in the middle. Also, it wasn't until after I washed it that you could see the issue with the picots, not like it was messing up as you went. Maybe Shirlene has experience tip. Or maybe I need to go turtle speed...hum
Oh I know those super delicate picots are not perfect-very annoying. I used 3 layers of vilene, a new sharp microtex and hooped the mylar. Maybe its the thread- maybe I should try rayon instead of metro- I had some shredding going on at times. Usually fsls turn out perfect for me but not this one so far. I'll try again later
By the way the picots are done after all the mylar is trimmed from the outline like you would do in applique.
The designer put an outline as first color
and then you trim-it came off nice and then then whole thing is done in 2 nd color. I wish the picots where separate and then I'd do them 2x. But hers look great.
It truly is amazing! Just look at that detail. Is this the one you said the mylar didn't really work? It is very pretty.
No, we must be in sink -another gal used
dollar store mylar and it didn't work for her- Mine worked perfectly. There is a thread in community right now. I'm a mylar newbie LOL Just testing.
Oh Yeah, that WAS someone else! sorry for the confusion. I've only used mylar a couple of times and LOVED the effect!
