So...what did you say about original ideas....are there any?......
Here is a link for the 100th monkey theory I found.
Well that just confirms that great minds thinks alike. Ever hear of the 100 monkey theory? Very interesting stuff;>) I think I have one similar to Nancy Zieman' from some site...Have to look, but it was a fan, and not a turkey. All I'd need to do is add a turkey face........
PS..I love your quilt...very clever with all the feathers floating around ! Great job too;>)
If you go to Missiouri Star Quilt Co. you will find another varriation of your design. They have a turkey made up for Thanksgiving. hugs, Susan
Being a quilter,my first thought when I saw yours was the dresden plate pattern lol...it happens all the time..no worries your quilt is wonderful!...
Both quilts are lovely, but the idea has been around for a long time - quilters do amazing patterns with the dresden plate, like dresses, embrelllas, fans, shells etc. It is often the fabric that makes a design unique. Enjoy your quilting and I think the
Uganda Project is amazing.
It happens all the time. I've spoken to artists and they all say they are influenced by what they see, touch, smell and subconsciously it all comes out in their art. So its no wonder there really isn't anything new under the sun just reinvented with a twist perhaps through anothers vision.
I too am amazed that you both had the same idea but of course you can see they are not copied just same idea. Your quilt is really lovely.
I am amazed that this does not happen more often. As the saying goes - 'great minds think alike'!!! I love your quilt.
