Nicole's Baby blanket - my youngest GD is with us for a couple days. She has been at the machine all afternoon, and this is her first project - the blanket is for her youth pastor's new baby. She picked out the designs, colors and font for the name. She is learning to do these quite well. Enjoyed the time spent with her, and glad she got everything done. The baby's family is true FLoridians and they all love to surf - that is the reason for the boards. And she chose colors to go with the kids room. I even showed her how to fussy cut...that's my girl!

OH Beth, this is adorable - Nicole is sure making some wonderful gifts and so thoughtful of her to think of others - it must have been a wonderful visit to share your love of embroidery with your grand. Way to go Nicole!

She is 15 - but she has been stitiching with me since I got the emboirdery machines a few years ago. I offered her my first embroidery machine, but my DD says to wait until she gets her remodle done. Well, that could be by the time Nicole goes off to college. LOL

It's a wonderful thing when a teen wants to learn from her grandmother. It must have been delightful to have her with you.

We really enjoy her visits - you hardly know she is here. Her nose is stuck in a book or on the kindle...

LOL - I could not believe how much she has grown. We don't get to see her as often as we wish, but she is active in school, and outside activities. 15 years old, and freshman in HS. She walked into the house and is probably close to 2" taller than I am, and I am not short! LOL
