Too bad you didn't get to finish this - hopefully you will - once your machine is running again.
UPDATE: Took the end cover off this a.m. It is def threads wrapped around bearing near thread take-up lever. Got soooo much already--don't think I can get the remainder. Repair man may have to take needle bar off to access it. But I will continue trying. Wheel is still frozen. If only it would move things a 'hair', I think I could clean out the rest.
when I read this - this is what I figured happened - I hope you can get it - if not it will not take the repair man long.
What a pitty your machine stopped working. This is a nice mug rug. Where did you got he desgin ? i'm sure my sis in law would love to have one too
wild mug rug, keep your motor running,
hope your machine is only missing on oil and can be fixed quickly
Well this one is very nice. Hope by now it has started working again for you
I wonder if there may be thread caught in the fly/hand wheel. Good luck with sorting it out.
Walk away for a few hours and when you turn it on it should recalibrate if not check the wheel did thread go round and round in there???Most you turn wheel backwards then forward and wheel comes off to check lol
Let us know how you make out please hugs Carolyn
Mine did it once ai turned it off and waited till next day itturned it on again and it worked really fast
Last fall my SIL bought a Brother 770 because she liked mine so much. The first project or 2 stitched fine. Then she started having problems and called me. It sounded like a tension problem to me. She made an adjustment and went on. A couple days later she called me and said her machine had froze up! She took it to the dealer. The dealer took it apart and said there was not a drop of oil in the machine. It was never oiled at the factory when it was made. So she had to get another machine. My advice, take it to a dealer. Good luck, Susan
You know, with a computer if it freezes you just reboot. Wonder if you unplug over night and start fresh tomorrow what would happen..........
But don't forget the helmet!
A friend wondered if my insurance would cover this (motorcycle) crash...no such luck!
Mine did that once and I turned it on its side ..went back to it a couple of hours later and it came on..dont know how that made a difference though..
This one mug rug is really nice. As for a locked up machine, I would get the manual and take apart what you can and give it a good clean and oil. A lot of times thread gets in the works and binds it up. Wish you the best that nothing serious is wrong.
I watched my dealer repairman yank the shell off last summer (it's Bro. ULT) and I almost had coronary! No way I would go inside it any more than I have already. I know I have more brains than money, but terrified I'd do something B A D!!
Do not be tempted to do it yourself. BAD and expensive things happen when you go that route. At least they have for me
