You can use the Google Custom search engine on the community page to find the DBC master catalog list. I also put the link in my daily freebie post every day now. Also use the search engine to find things we have talked about or tagged ourselves.
How do you do that? What do you put in to find what you have tagged. I assume you enter your name to find what you talked about.
Thank-you ladies for your comments. I didn't mean to bring up bad feelings. Thank-you Meganne for the link to the DBC master catalog. Now if I can just figure out how to bookmark it. I do appreciate all the hard work that all you cuties have done.
Mylinda-just go to the page Meg mentioned and click add to favorites-I have mine on my top toolbar, along with about 15-20 others lol. ~linda~
Sorry Monhome, I went offline after I answered you last night. Thanks for helping Linda. :-))
It's nice to know there will always be a Cutie to pick up the slack. :-)))
Every day it becomes less an embroidery forum where I have learned so much, and is becoming just another social place. I miss that structure, and we can't even access it. I have written to the PTB's on various subjects, and have never gotten an answer. How can you run a site with no communication? Yahoo sites are overrun with ads anymore, I don't do facebook or twitter. This was a release from a tiring job and a dreary life after the death of my DH. Not so much anymore.
Well said Meganne and jofrog ********** I do not enjoy this site that much anymore as nothing really works well and lots has disappeared. I very rarely even collect the freebie as they are also not what they used to be and also will not renew membership because of the quality of designs. Sorry to be this blunt but it is the way that I feel. I come back here for the friendship and member designs.
because the designs are really quite boring. I visit for the friendship and other members designs. Sorry to be so blunt !
Hmph! Not bloody likely! She hasn't even reinstated our ability to go back and look at our previous posts, answers or marked posts.
Even the TAGS don't work any more.
We wouldn't even HAVE the master catalogue if it wasn't for the hard work of our fellow members setting in up.
I suggest that the next time you open the master catalogue, you BOOKMARK the page in your favourites. As for sorting it, there's no way to make that possible.
There are however, add-ons for some web browsers that will allow you to search for specific words on web pages.
If you think I sound bitter, I guess I am! I'm disappointed that all the tutorials and other valuable, informative posts, written up by many members in previous years, are no longer accessible.
What a waste of time and effort writing them all.
Our requests seem to fall on deaf ears now, maybe because she has so many other websites running now that there just isn't enough time to spare to restore CuteEmbroidery to the great site it once was.
Hugs n roses, a disillusioned Meganne
PS. I have added the link to DBC for you
Well said Meganne-I know there are alot of us "older" cuties that agree 100% with you-well said. This is still a great site with alot of great members but.....
I agree Meganne, I have contacted and received answers from "Test" and still no action has been taken to give us back what we had before! I thought the updating on the site she was working on would make the site better, not worse. No wonder the site has slipped from #2 to #3!
I've only been here a couple yrs., but I was just beginning to get around comforably and had marked comments that had useful info just for my info that I can't get at and end up having to give in and ask a question that even I know has been asked before (newbies wouldn't). I also thought it was all going to be back to normal and figured, yes it takes a while to do all that, but I think by now some of it should have been restored.
I agree Meganne, you have said it very well, Ito acces the tutorials and all feel en bit lost not being able to look back that was interesting for me. I'll just wait and see what happens./ Thank you so far.
just don't hold your breath waiting for anything to come back Carla-don't think we are ever going to see anything come back-looks like the old simple tabs are lost to us
