Thank you Chris!! The big quilt is the Bernina Latte Quilt, it really has some amazingly beautiful designs!
The Latte Quilt is lovely and you will enjoy it when it is finished - I never have - but have seen many that have been made up.
Very nice! Love the fabric and color layout. The colors are just richly wonderful.... fit for a King as they say.
Thank you very much!! It's a Fabric Freedom jelly roll pack I bought in Leicester at the Fabric Guild (amazing shop!).
Wow this is stunning. And it is on my bed! Now I have to get an air ticket to come and visit. Baie trots op jou my kind. And for a first one? Cant wait to see the latte quilt. LOVIES
I am afraid, I don't know what a jelly roll is.Did you quilt by hand? It looks very nice, something you should be proud of._Toogie
Hi Toogie, thank you for your comments! A jelly roll consists of (usually) between 40 and 50 strips of fabric, about 2.5 inches wide, which is then cut down and sewn together any way you like!! I did the top quilting by machine and finished the binding off by hand.
Well i think it looks good:):)have you a plan now for your next one???hugs carolyn
Yes....my plan is to get someone with a long arm to do the quilting!! ;-). I'm working on a very large embroidered quilt but fortunately that one is quilt-as-you-go!!
