Thanks sew much for the info and video. I watched the videos on HoopSisters too, and they're so informative.

If you go to the HoopSisters site (link is below) you can see several videos for this technique, including all of the block videos for the Goose Tracks block of the month quilt...also, there is a freebie block you can download to try. There are also free videos you can download for their block joining and quilt finishing using sashing to cover the block joining seams. I'm still on the fence about this type of quilt as you go...but I did down load the freebie and am going to try a small table topper to see how I like the look!

I'd prefer NOT to have sashing to join them... I also would prefer to have the top stitching go over the geometric design, and there should be no reason the design CAN'T do that... I think the swirls detract from the log cabin design... what do you think?

I wonder how you put them all together after this....

If you go back to it (might take a couple of times) it eventually works. I often have that problem.

What a lovely way of quilting

The trimmer can be purchased here never seen this handy dandy trimmer tool before. Always something new hard to keep track. Very nice block to do with the embroidery machines
