Praise God from whom all blessings flow! I know these little gifts have been prayed over and each stitch put in with love and anticipation. Can't wait to see some pictures of their arrival and delivery.
Thanks for asking about the extra baggage charges. We don't know exactly what they will be, but any contributions toward that will be appreciated. If anyone wants to send even $1 toward that can do so by Paypal. My paypal account is wharton@rkymtnhi.com Anything that comes in this week, I will withdraw in cash to send along with the quilts. If it is more than is needed for extra baggage, it can go directly to Patrick to be used as needed for the orphans - probably for food. Thanks!
I'm so glad! Do you need us to send money for postage or shipping?
Hi Jennifer, We have no idea exactly what it will cost for the extra baggage. At this point we have gifts of $120 in cash to send with the quilts. I'm guessing we will need at least $200 as it will take four extra bags. Any left over from the baggage can be used for food for the kids. Thanks for thinking of that.
I just finished one for a boy and am on my way to the post office to send it out to you. I don't know if it will arrive in time for this trip or the August trip but its on its way just the same, lol!
79 WOW! Way to go Cuties nad others too in coming together for this project!
Diane
Wonderful news. Wish mine was on it's way but as you know it will be a little late. Hugs Sarah.
Sarah, yours will be first for August! We need a "seed" to help the others grow :-) I wish the postage wasn't so terribly expensive. But, we have no control over that - here or there :-) Yours will be a world traveler before it ever arrives in Uganda - LOL God Bless YOU, dear friend
Uganda - LOL. You are amazing to go to all the trouble to take it with you to the UK to mail from there. Hey, have a fun trip, it's coming up soon! Hugs, Jan
WOW! Did He not say His grace is sufficient, and through this we of faith would always have exactly what we need? How wonderful and what a demonstration of the Lord's hand in this terrific project! God has really done His work through you my dear and all who have joined in! Bless you, bless you, bless all of you!! Hugs, ro
PRAISE BE TO GOD for all the wonderful work, love and stitches that have gone into these. I'm so thrilled that you will reach your goal.
My other little package should arrive on Monday or Tuesday. Love and blessings Chris
Sounds like a nice place to live, with friendly folks, Jan! I am happy to see your project come to completion for you! It would be exciting to see each new quilt as it arrives!
Hugs and love,
Angel
I'll miss the project, but my family will appreciate having me do some of the more mundane chores around here :-) "I'd rather be quilting"
Have you captured the attention of your local newspaper too?? We have a little tiny newspaper here, and only get it once a week. It might be kind of fun once the tally is in!!
That's a great idea, maybe they could help raise the money needed to pay the excess baggage/freight fee to get them to Uganda.
Lovely to hear you have (nearly) reached your target. Well done !!!!!
WONDERFUL NEWS JAN,
I would love to see them all, hope this won't be a let down for you once they stop coming in. Must be like xmas everyday for you when the mail comes in LOL
hugs
Michelle
We live in such a remote place we have to go get our mail at the post office down in town. The postmaster and her staff have seen lots of the quilts as they come in, because everyone is excited to see them, I open the package right there! It IS like Christmas :-)
stmas. The people at the grocery store have seen them too!
Can you imagine what it is going to be like for the kids!?!??!!
I'm sorry to post twice, I think I had a sticky pinky hitting the submit button! Maybe I'm too excited!
