Is there any Cutie that does machine cross stitch? What kind of thread do you use? Does DMC make thread for the embroidery machine? I am wanting to cross stitch. I am having problems with my arm. And can not do it by hand anymore. And comments eould be appreciated. Thanks in advance Peg.

I just found something else. On the design page, right under the chickens, is a dl for a cross stitch tutorial. I've just read a bit of it, but it sounds full of info.

I have used the same embroiderythread as usual for the common designs.

Okay. I did not know if you had to have all the different threads like DMC colors. Or if it had to be a different weight.

I find I like it. My hands would not take doing counted cs like I used to. DMC once had thread, but I guess it was not selling well enough. Poly or rayon work just fine. Here are some of the sites I had bookmarked, a lot of them have free designs, some monthly projects. Lots of nice patterns out there. Do a google search for more.

WOW! These are great! Thanks for the links!

Thank you for all these links. I have done many before. But my arm and hand can not do it any more. I have had surgery on it and will not do that again. I have tried putting regular DMC thread it but it breaks. Do I need to slow the machine down all the way?

You just use regular 40 weight embroidery thread for cross stitch designs for machine embroidery,

Most designs should have instructions from the digitizer if not email the digitizer and ask.
