I know that I'm going to regret asking this question and making myself out to be a complete idiot.....BUT......have I understood correctly that the second colour stitch is machined through the CD and the additional layer of fabric? Okay, I've asked..............now you can shoot me down in flames......LOL
It stitches round the CD, not through it! Just make sure you fix the CD inside the lines. Of course, if you want to add another design, you do it before you fix the CD in place.
AH!! Thank you for letting me off lightly.

I seem to have a lot of surges but not getting any more accomplished. Hugs, Susan
use fabrics that frey and do a double final sew out to really secure the fabric threads and use pinking shears to cut out. Try using those old denim jeans you have kept at the back of the wardrobe that are now way to big for you since your diet.

Thanks Sue. I know I have it, but need it in a hurry so too lazy to hunt for it. I am behind in my design sorting :-(
thank you, this looks like the perfect size to put around the snowflake name designs. I haven't been able to find a circle large enough.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH .I WILL USE THE DESIGN TO WRITE CHRISTMAS (one letter pro disk with ribbon and sparkles around). AMITIES DE FRANCE
stick a loop of ribbon on the back along with the backing fabric for a hanger.
Shared in April... we had an April this year?????
I'm glad this design has come to the top again. My old CD's don't scare the birds in the orchard so I surely will use them for plaques. Thank you so much for sharing this brilliant recycling idea.

This will be great to use the test ( A Round TUIT)
One question how does one FIX the CD to the back?
A littel double sided stickytape will hold the disc in place whilst you place the second piece of fabric at the back of the disc a line stitch will hold the fabric in place and you then trim it and put in the finally overlocking stitch
or at least i presume that is how it works. I wil have a go and see what happens.
love this idea for coasters.or even fridge maganest by simply sticking a small magnet on the rear. annie
thats how i understand it to be I will have a go and see what happens, great for coasters or even a fridge magnet simply glue a magnet on the rear. annie
That is a good suggestion - I used spray adhesive. As you say, it only has to hold while the outline stitches. I made mine into fridge magnets.
You're so sharp, Sue. I'm sure your brain never sleeps :) Thanks for doing this.
many thanks for the circle - sure could it on some designs..thanks for sharing
Thank you. I like the words you used about hot flushes. I am sick of them.
Thank you Sue. Great design. I love the idea of making a banner with it too.
Lori
Nice, we all have extra CDS. Like that we have option for satin stitch too.
Thank You
Interesting, how careful do you have to be so the needle does not hit the cd?
The outline is a few mm bigger han the cd. Position the CD within the outline and fix it with spray glue or tape so that it doesn't move.
I realy love this Sue, as I do all your other designs. Thank you, althou I cannot always leave a message of thanks, you always receive a flower for your lovely work.
Thanks again, appreciate your wonderfull sharing
