A very lovely layout for your display!
Where is this and how often do you have this?
You were very popular and a crowd is good news!
Happy stitching!
Thanks Bev, This was inside the hospital here in Spartanburg. There were over 400 guest and I hate that I couldn't get to the ones that stopped a while to look. But I did the best I could. I had three customers today to come to the house and place orders for some dresses and onesies that were at the fair, so I think this was good.
Well done. How easy was it to embroider items when the customer was watching? Jan
Thank you. It was stressful. I missed so many customers because my booth was packed and I could only get to one person at a time whether they wanted personalized or just purchasing one already done. I will definitely take someone else with me, that is FOR SURE!!!
I bet you have a girl friend who would love to sit with you for a few hours. Your space looks really appealing!
Thanks. Actually I really don't have any outside friends. My family and church are it. The church family aren't into crafty, most of them are very elderly, and my family are always doing their own thing... I have a couple of aquaintences, but they were unavailable... Wanna come and help? LOL...
I'm glad you did well with your booth. I'm sure one or two people can not handle customers & do stitching too. Where are you located? I would love to get some experence to see if I might could someday do this.
Thanks. Really it is difficult even for two people, but if you have one running the machine and the other with customers, it does go easier and you don't lose as many customers as with just one person. I'm surprised I did as well as I did... I'm in Spartanburg SC
I'm in Alabama, sure wish I was close enough to help out! Good luck on the next one!!!!
You had a great set up with lots of pretty things. glad it went well for you/Lillian
Thank you Lillian. It took the whole 2 hrs to get it set up. Funny how it takes longer to set up and quicker to bring down. LOL
Your booth looks very nicely set up. Glad you did well. Shirley
I would of loved to have helped you ;)- shame i'm so far away:( Your stall looks so inviting and very tempting to buy-buy-buy :) wishing you well for future projects ;)
Hugs
Marie
Dear Terre, wonderful display and boy have you been busy! Glad it went well, but make sure to have some help next time. Love Chris
Thanks Chris... I'm going to see if maybe a family member will help. I know DH WON'T...both my daughters were out of town, and although mother was there, she can't do anything but sit and look. :)
You have so many beautiful things out - I bet you could have used some help!! I have always heard, you'll get more business if you have your machine for personalizing! Hugs to you, Laura*
Thanks Laura. It is very true. Each time I have brought my machine I've done more than without it. Hopefully I can find someone to help next time (3 wks)
My booth looks so cute... love the hanging shoe bag or sweater bag for display
Thanks Emily. Yes that hanging bin came in handy. It was the first time I used it. I have extension on my rack, so I was able to put the bins there. It held all the folded clothes like onesies, blankets, bibs. etc...
Your display looks very nice. Where are you located?
Good luck on future shows.olds/Maureen
Your table is beautifully set up and your location looks to be in an excellent place. Glad you did well.
Your stall looks really nice and friendly. Hope you keep on doing well. you are lucky to have so much space. I have only 3metres by 2 metres between others with the same space. But we try our best. Congratulatins on your orders - may it only get better. *****
Thank you. Wow Susie, that is tiny... I have had smaller that what I had at the hospital. To start out, I was only given one table, when I told her I needed a place to put up my racks and machine, they put me in the front where the entrance was and there was plenty of space to sprawl out...Sometimes I've been able to ask for corner spaces (mostly for electrical purposes, which has help with giving us more space. The max footage that I've been given was 10X10, which is the size of my canopy for outdoors...
Your set up looks very nice. I'm glad you did good. Do you have any tips for someone who might be wanting to get started selling crafts?
I actually started this just this past Dec. during Christmas. I was invited to one church and then got invited to several after that. I didn't look for anything at first but now I do. I didn't pay over 35 for a space except this one which was 60. If you live in a small community check out their churches, community centers or go to their city halls and see where they are having outdoor craft fairs or bazaar. Just be careful there are some churches that will want a percentage of what you make. I really avoid them, because I already give to my church and missions...
Good for you! I hope you get some help next time for those impatient customers.
me too. I have another one that will be outside, in three weeks, so I'm starting on things for mothers day.
