Days of mild searching and hours of serious searching and my diamond wedding set it still MIA!!! Took hubby 28 years to buy me a diamond wedding set and now I can't find it, $1200 missing!!! I am beyond upset at this point but my house is getting a good going over and and extra bag of trash goes out tonight! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Just needed to scream and vent!

Thank you, me too, if I don't get them inspected in May I lose the guarantee in case a diamond falls out.

I have truly tried. I always take them off, usually put them by my chair or by the computer. When my fingers swell they are too tight but then when my fingers are cold they are too loose so I take them off all the time! For now I am going to wait and let them come to me.

So sorry, sure hope you find them. They will be in the last place you look.

No, 4th and final purse search was today. I quit, they will turn up, I hope.

Another place to check if you haven't is the debris in the vacuum cleaner. I've gone through mine many times retrieving stuff and small toy parts. Hopefully not in there as you would have probably heard something like your rings being sucked up. Still holding out that they are in your safe spot. Hugs.

No, checked laundry and it all has been washed and put away, no apron or kitchen door or jacket pocket or jeans. Hubby does the laundry since I am not good with the steps now and we don't know where they are but I still have the sewing area to check and that will stop the search and if they turn up they do, if not, I can't keep making myself sick over rings when I have my health to worry about.

Oh no. I know you have been having a lot of tests done for your health, could you have left them somewhere during any of these? Just a thought.

No, but thank you, the tests were all the jewelry has to be off are next week. 13 diamond earrings will be cleaned and polished then along with whatever else needs cleaned but so far, no rings.

Our son told him that he better return them if he had taken them but I knew he would not have let me be in such a state and would have handed them over.

Saint Anthony's pretty good at this, Lee, give him a try. I'd be so afraid to throw out the trash it wouldn't be funny! Those cats of mine have a habit of knocking things off of dressers, etc. sometimes right into the wastebasket. I've seen several of them do it purposely, with small things like rings, bottle tops, etc., just to see them fall, I guess. Sometimes they play with them on the floor, too. All my wastecans are now covered. Did you maybe accidentally leave them in a pocket, a cup in the cupboard, that famous "safe place" when you took them off to do dishes or gardening? I've put things like that in all sorts of unlikely places, because I forgot to take them off in the bedroom and put them in the drawer there. Sure do hope you find them SOON!!!! Big hugs, Marji

Me too, I have cried so much over things this week that my throat is killing me. I still have to clean around the sewing area and that is it, no other place to look.

Debra I hope by now you have found the wedding set. I lost a gold necklace years ago and it turned up a while later. I also lost my engagement ring, I found it in my jewellery box about a year later... seems a obvious place to keep jewellery but its not where I remember looking. Take care and try not to get too upset as if you are like me they will reappear

I hope they turn up, the jewelry box is a big full length mirror with ring rolls at the top and I have been through it at least 10 times so far.

well, the absolute worst case scenario is that they don't turn up. That doesn't take away the love that you have for each other. So, when they do turn up (and I believe that they will, sometime) that'll be icing on the cake.

Debra, did you think where was last time you had them? It took my DH 22 years for a diamond wedd. set too, but my set it is really gone, they broke into my house two years ago, and took them, I just only hope the money they got from the set went for a good cause, feeding or buying medications, I do not want to think my set was used to buy drugs.

I have done that several times, the recliners have been flipped upside down. I lost a tiny diamond earring years ago and found it one day months later by digging my finger in the corner so I have already done that for the rings.

I do hope you find them soon. I'm sure you have thought back to the last time you were wearing the set. I put mine in with the coins while traveling once and just about lost my mind looking for them. It was a week later when I needed to pay for a purchase and boy was I relieved to see them. Good luck on your search.

Dear Debra - I am sure that the rings will turn up. Please look through your bag of trash again in case you have missed them. My mother once lost her beautiful engagement ring in the trash. She was pushing the trash down to make more room and the ring slipped off. We eventually found it and it has now been on my finger for more than 30 years. Good luck in your search. Hugs Sarah.
