ok, sorry for the really silly question. I ask what size do you cut the material for the bag. I got a fast answer but sure would like it in inches. was told 47cm long and 38cm wide. Please help. Iva
Cut the fabric 20inches longer this will give you enought length to turn two hems top and bottom with narrow elastic inserted in both hems it needs to be cut 16inches wide this will alow for a seam of 1inch. Suelyn
what aq laugh just love maxine just imagine it maxine and stella got together....lol...soozie
This is so cute,I ordered the pack of these designs. Came right through on and e-mail.
I'm going to let you all into a secret (please dont tell my hubby lol) but Maxine so reminds me of my Mother-in-Law. not sure if its the ciggerette or the baggy cardigan she wears over everything or look she puts on her face but I swear she could be the original Maxine lol
That is the best old bag I have ever seen! Thanks for sharing! Live Laugh Download Stitch!
Suelyn this is great and congratulations on your first posting here
Thank you I hope to post more as soon as I get rid of the builders in my house/loft conversion. looks like some one threw a hand grenade in and run ah well everybody says "it'll be lovely when its done" if I had a £ for every time I heard that I wouldn't need a loft conversion I could afford to buy a bigger house lol
I have ordered the pack of these, wonder how long it takes to get them? I have forgotten the size to cut the material for a bag holder, havent made one befor. Can you please help. Iva
The finished size is 47cm long by 38cm so if you allow 5cm for seam and another 5 cm for the hem to insert the elastic you should be right best wishes sue
This was a good way to get me chuckling. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
LOL-looks great-love Maxine too. I have 3 of these bag holders around the house-this makes me want to make new ones and do designs on them ~linda~
I did one of these a few years ago for an elderly lady that I took care of. She saved the plastic grocery bags and they were everywhere in her house. I used the lady with a cocktail glass from the free Golden Girls set at Emerald Originals. I wrote "For all the Old Bags" on it. When I gave the bag to my elderly friend she did a doubletake and said "Are you calling me an "old bag"... I said no it's FOR your old bags. She got a laugh out of it. Later that evening I went back to check on her again and she met me at the door and with excitement said she wanted to show me something... it was the bag. She laughed so hard. When I asked her where she had gotten it, at first she couldn't remember but later said "you made that for me". These bags are so fun and she really loved it!! Your's looks really great!
I Love It... She is the Best, Makes my day everytime I see her... LOL

WOW! those prices for the packs are amazing-is it a legitimate site? I love the Maxine ones but other sites had single designs that more expensive than the whole pack. I want um!!!!! lol
I'm so drab; I made 2 of these bag holders, but I didn't decorate them, so they are hanging behind doors. :)
I love this one.
I wonder about the legitimacy too. Last time I saw Disney designs at that price was on EBAY and they had to remove them because of copyright laws. I don't mean to be a party pooper but,.....
I love this. I'm sure your family will love the ones you make for them. Shirley
thanks for the comments I really love doing this she stitched out beautifully
Wonderful job on the bag holder. Your family will get a laugh out of the design.
