You can use a feature in Windows 7. It is a virtual XP machine. Search Microsoft for the answer if the other things don't work for you. No need to get a new program. You can try to run the program in XP compatibility mode instead of the virtual machine but only if it loads the right way. Good Luck!

Someone had the same problem on another forum. Answer was---You need to put the files into C:\program files (x86) when you install. This is where the 32 bit applications run from.
Worth a try.
According to the Brother USA site, you need to DL the Windows Vista version of PED 6.08 even though you're using Windows 7 32bit, instead of installing PED from your disk/CD. (see first link)
The PED6 download (full program for win7/vista) is at the 2nd link, and the 3rd link is where you can read the info about installing PED onto Win7. Hope this gets you up & running, I'm still using PED6 too ;) xXx
If you can't find an answer on the Brother site, try contacting them, if anyone should be able to tell you, they should.
I use pe design6 and it does work for windows 7. The Info was at brother usa site but it was awhile ago that i don't remember what to do and I don't know if I have 34 or what.
I'm not helpful :(
but you don't need to change/buy another program pe design.
Will keep checking here if someone can help you.
I had to use the download which was really meant for Windows XP, because my Windows 7 was a 32bit. I didn't have PE, but another software product but it may work for you. Good luck.
