Congratulations on your son's marriage and finishing the project. You are inspiring!
way to go MOM!!!! I bet they were just thrilled! I mean the happy couple of course!
Great Job Shirlene, and Congratulations to your son and wife!!
What a lot of work but what a special gift to receive.
Well done getting them finished on time!
Thank you for LQQKing and for all the support and prayers. This was a great lesson in a big project for me - not to wait to the end - to finish up - one of the items - just in case it doesn't work out - you still have time to change what you are doing and not have to go through with it - as I did - but I am thrilled that they all got finished and that they were so lovely and received so well. What a blessing.
Glad you got them all finished and that everyone appreciated your hard work. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the wedding.
Shirlene, so glad that Terri and the ladies could help you with this task. Well done to you all. They turned out lovely. hugs Yvonne
Yvonne, it was amazing - the day of the wedding - there were 11 of us sitting around hand stitching out these baskets - after more than 4 hours - we finished them up. Thanks dear.
Wow, what a project. I would have been overwhelmed from day one. Just goes to show perseverance wins out. They are beautiful and will be remembered for years to come. Well done. I love the presentation, simple yet elegant.
Therese, thank you so very much - I really appreciate that you liked they way that they presented them for the thank you gift table.
Looks absolutely amazing. Well done Shirlene. Hugs Sarah.
Beautiful work!!! Gold stars for you!
Maria, thank you - the 1st gold stars I have gotten for my embroidery work - Hehehe!
It is always a good feeling when you can help someone in need, but I can't take to much credit, because my hands would have not been enough help to finish such a big project. But, I live in a small town where we know most everyone and we help one another when there is a need. I made a couple phone calls and at 9 am 10-11 ladies converged around my kitchen table working feverishly stitching and stuffing baskets. At 1:30 the last basket was completed and Shirley was on her way back home. Angels of love, most who didn't know Shirleen came to her rescue, what a blessing.
Yes, I meant to say somewhere in this - that you organized a old sewing bee around the table with your community - but didn't get it in. And I will forgive you for misspelling my name (teach), Shirlene
PS: It is amazing that so many helped at the last minute, too.
Wow , what an undertaking! you must show one up close. How many did you make?
Shirlene , they look so sweet ,you have done a great job, and the lilac just set them off so well,I can smell their scent ahhhhh, lol
oh my shirlene how many did you make and i am so glad people knew you made them even so most people dont realise just how much time and energy goes into some thing like this what we do in the name of love this is a double credit to you...soozie
Thanks Soozie, I don't know what the last count was - but I believe it was 85 - no one ever realizes the amount of time and work that goes into something like this!
Wow!!! What a beautiful labor of love! You did a fantastic job! Congrats to your son and daughter-in-law.
Congratulations, Shirlene! Beautiful job!
Dilcéia, thank you my friend - I don't decorate cities like you do - my work is on such a small scale compared to yours.

thank you so much - I have been waiting for this marriage for years and I know I will always remember it, too.
My goodness, what a task. Beautiful. I also love the Lilacs, they are my favorite flower. I miss them since we moved to the Southeast. The closest thing to them are the Wisteria which has beautiful purple flowers and smells so sweet.
thank you - I love Lilacs, too and when I lived in NC - it was wonderful seeing the Wisteria hanging and so lovely - there is a lady down the street that has grown it along the edge of her eves on the house and it is so lovely over her porch and reminds me so much of NC.
Just beautiful. How about posting this on Ebay or Etsy? June weddings coming up.
Stella thank you very much - I would have to think about doing this sort of project for other weddings, again.
What a great job, and this is lovely - Wish I could be close enough to smell those lilacs - I used to love them when I was small - We don't have them down here. Now you need to rest!
Beth, thank you so much - I wished I could send you some - they were so nice - the house next door has a wonderful tree that blooms by our driveway and on the other side of the property they have a 10 foot high hedge of them - that runs their driveway - lilacs were my Grandmother's favorite and I always loved the smell of them when we went to her home, too.
I knew in my heart you would make it! What a beautful display of your labor of love.
Congratulation to the Bride and Groom beautiful happy long life together You gift basket display is absolute gorges Thank you for sharing .Maria

Huds Lenamae
Lenamae, thank you - I only wished I would have asked for help - much sooner - but is was a blessing needless to say.
Shirlene this looks great, lucky you to have Terri nearby to come to help. Now you can relax a little unless you have another quick mega challenge
Caroline, thanks. I sure wished we lived closer than we do - the almost hour there and back took a lot of my presious time on the day of the wedding and it is so hard for me to drive these days without it having alot of pain later on. But nonetheless is was a blessing to have the help.
